I am going to Disney World the week of Thanksgiving for 1 day-- my problem is which theme park should I choose.. I am 70 and will be in a wheel chair, my thoughts are between Epcot and Aminal Kingdom.. Any suggestions I am able to walk but not for long distances..

First of all welcome to Disboards. It's nice to have you here.

It's difficult to advise you on which park to visit because we don't know your tastes. Epcot is cutting edge attractions about the future in one half of the park and an almost World's Expo type environment in World Showcase.

Animal Kingdom, well it's all in the name. Though it's not very zoo like at all.

Both of them have excellent facilities for someone who uses a wheelchair so you shouldn't have too many difficulties getting around and seeing things.

Whichever you chose, I'm certain you will have a great day.

Cheers Larry.

Rent a Ecv from Disney get to the park of your choice early
As they have limited ECV'S available and cost $50 per day

This way you will be able to get around the park easier and quicker
We rent them every time we go as my Wife can not walk very far
At a time and with out them she would not be able to see the parks.

No mater what park you choose you will have a good time. But defiantly
Get your self an ECV and you won't be sorry you did.

Because we like EPCOT more than AK, EPCOT get's my vote! :thumbsup2

What do you like to do there. Are you looking for shows or low intensity rides? EPCOT might be the best bet. Most of the World Showcase countries have some sort of film to display the culture of the country if you are into that type of thing.

Like pp stated, it all depends on your interests. I'd personally pick AK. Either way, have a great time!!!
