How do you guys all plan your days at disney?

Do you stick to 1 park each day or do you generally split halfway through the day?

Last year, we did one park each day, and this was the only way as we were staying on I Drive and transportation was by bus.

This year I'm thinking, as we're onsite, we should do the early entry park first thing, have a break midday/early afternoon and then move to one of the quieter parks in the afternoon/evening.

We will still do universal etc. as 1 park each day but thought it may be better to split up the disney parks.

Does anyone who splits the parks up find that you tend to do all the best rides the first day and when you go back, you're left with all the not so good ones? I know there's nothing to stop you going on the good ones again and again, but just wondered what opinions everyone has on doing the parks like this.

We won't have a car this time either, and we're going in september (6th) , the day after labor day so it shouldn't be really busy.

Thanks

Hi there :)

We always stay on site so tend to split our disney day's :) We head out early in the morning for the EMH and then around lunch time we head back to the resort for a couple of hours in the pool. In the evening we go out for dinner or back to a park.

I am not sure about doing all of the good rides first, because no matter how many times I go to MGM I go on TOT and RnR :teeth:

I find it 'tough' doing a whole day at Universal or Seaworld - missing out on my dip in the pool.

We always visit two different parks. For us it seems less tiring, and allows us to see each park at the best time of the day and providing a nice contrast between the different parks. For example, we love Animal Kingdom in the morning and Epcot in the evening, so we often split our day starting at AK for opening time and finishing up at Epcot with Illuminations. Another favourite day is a water park in the morning, followed by a lazy afternoon and then the evening at the Magic Kingdom. Spending the whole day at one park, even with a midday break, seems too tiring mentally as well as physically.

Regards

Rob

Absolutely! This really works well for us, even if we don't take the break but still switch parks. I know that I arrive at the second park with the same fresh approach as if it were first thing in the morning. We do try plan spending a morning and an evening in each park if we have time, just to make sure we can catch as much as possible of the different parades and fireworks, and atmosphere.

Like Kaylee, I don't like it when we 'have' to spend a whole day in the same park. ;)

Similar to Rob , I like to do AK in the morning and then move on to either Epcot or MGM. I still tend to do a whole day in MK as there is always more than one days of entertainment there, although I tend to go at a slower rate these days than when I first visited.
