Hands down the Plaza Pavillion Character breakfast. There is also Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel, if you're not entering the park on your departure date. HTH.:)

This should probably be posted (and might get moved over for you by a mod) on the Disneyland side. But since I am DL regular I can go ahead and give you some information:

Grand Californian: Storytellers Cafe. Usually you will see Koda and Kenai from Brother Bear as well as Chip and Dale. Meeko also appears sometimes. It is a buffet with characters but only at breakfast. Lunch and dinner, still a buffet but no characters. They also have a standard menu you can order off of if you don't like buffets.

Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel: Goofy, Pluto, and usually Minnie. Also, you will usually see Chip and Dale. In addition you will see a few other characters including a princess or two. We have seen Mad Hatter, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Genie, Captain Hook, Alice, Baloo, Wendy and a few others through the years. It always has a wide varitey of the characters who dance and play with the kids. It is a buffet and has characters for all three meals.

Minnie and Friends at the Plaza Inn inside Disneyland. This restaurant features characters at breakfast only. MInnie is there and usually some Pooh characters as well as a few others. Fairy Godmother is there quite often. It is a buffet and since its inside the park requires park admission.

Ariel's Grotto inside DCA: This is a fixed price non buffet meal, with princesses, and lots of them. The princesses rotate thorugh the restaurant and visit each table. It is lunch and dinner only and since its also inside DCA requires park admission.

Lilo and Stitch Breakfast at the Paradise Pier Hotel: This one is a breakfast buffet with Lilo and Stitch and generally Pluto, Minnie and sometimes Goofy. They are all dressed in Hawaiin get ups, do Hoola contests and other games with the kids. Its in the PCH Grille restaurant but the characters are only there for breakfast. You can also order of a standard menu if the buffet does not interest you.

Note that all three of the onsite hotels are within easy walking distance to each other and the two parks. They are all fun and the food has been good at all of them when we have eaten there. So just pick the one that has the characters you want to see! Have fun at Disneyland!

I've tried most of them (except Paradise Pier's Lilo and Stitch Breakfast). My favorites are Goofy's Kitchen and Plaza Inn...lots of characters and good food. Storyteller's Cafe did not have the character interaction of the other two. Ariel's Grotto is nice too...especially for princesses. However, I've read that the Lilo and Stitch Breakfast at PP is also good. Be sure to at least go by the DLH and look around...the Neverland Pool, koi ponds, motorized toy boats are sights to see.

Other favorites (non-character) For quick meals/snacks...the White Water Snacks at GCH is great, as is the Bengal BBQ in Adventureland, also Golden Horseshoe isn't bad for a rest and to watch Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. Napa Rose (GCH) Hooke' Point (DLH) Blue Bayou (NOS) Tomorrowland Terrace, Carnation Cafe (Main Street) Mexican (Frontierland)

I really enjoyed the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at Paradise Pier. I actually thought they had more variety than the Story Tellers at GC. I am looking forward to trying the Minnie breakfast in Disneyland.

I am going to move this to the Disneyland board, where you may get more responses.

But for my .02, I have dined at Goofy's Kitchen twice and PCH Grill(Aloha Breakfast) once and enjoyed both very much! :thumbsup2

We went to Goofy's last Wed. which was our first character breakfast experience. Pluto was waiting in the lobby for us and we were able to get pics and autographs with a really cool backdrop behind him.
Inside we had Goofy (of course), Baloo, Alice, Cinderella, Chip and Dale. Food was great and we will do it again!!!!!

We've tried them all and our all time favorite character breakfast is Lilo and Stitch. The character interaction is by far the best and the food is really good. We don't do any of the others anymore!

Minnie and Friends in the PI in Disneyland...nothin better!

We always do the PI and this trip I booked Storyteller's and am having second thoughts. We have 3 day hoppers and doing b-fast the morning of our last day. Should I change it to PI or keep the one I have??

Storytellers has a wonderful buffet and its atmosphere is lovely. But unless your kids are familar with and like the Brother Bear characters I would go with Minnie's. I like the fact that at Minnies and Goofy's they have a wide variety of characters. Don't get me wrong, Storytellers is wonderful but just be aware the characters are limited. This is one character meal that seems to be more about the food than the characters.

Thank you! My kids only know of Chip and Dale but not Brother Bear. I think I am going to change it to PI...we love this place!

Go with what you love! Storytellers is great especially when your kids are older, my 12 year old son enjoyed it very much. Chip and Dale are usually there but it just doesn't have the same type of atmosphere Minnie's has so you are probably making the right choice!

:lmao:

OK, I called and changed my reservations from Storytellers to Plaza Inn. Thanks, I feel sooo much better!

I also think your children and you will enjoy this better...like previous poster stated Storyteller is nice but if you really want character interaction Plaza Inn or Goofy Kitchen are the best.

Hope you have a great time and safe trip!!

Thanks! We always do Goofy's too. We are doing dinner one night while we are there...love that place and PI too!:thumbsup2

Ariel's Grotto is the only one I haven't been to.

Plaza Inn - we'll NEVER do that one again! The food was not good at all! Grocery store food - mini white bagels, croissants, frozen peaches - none of it was worth the money. The only decent thing there was the build your own omelet, but it was greasy.

Goofy's Kitchen was a great buffet. Lots of characters.

Story Tellers Cafe - good amount of characters - we loved our interaction with Koda & Kanai! Food was good and you can order off the menu for breakfast - you don't have to do the buffet.

Lilo & Stitch - Didn't seem to be as many characters. Food was good. But I doubt we'll go back there - Goofy's and Storytellers was just too good!
