1 BR room request at Boulder Ridge

Hi! Staying at Wilderness Lodge for the first time in November and we are so psyched!!!

We are DVC members and we're staying in a 1 BR at Boulder Ridge.

I've searched the threads but all the info on this that I could find was either before or during construction. Has anything changed?

We don't have a lot of requests, but I'm thinking maybe closer to the boat... thanks for any advice!

The Boulder Ridge villas were remodeled a few years ago. They added Murphy beds to the dedicated studios and did some cosmetic refurbishments. But other than that the building is the same as it always was.

The Wilderness Lodge itself has had huge changes with the opening of the new villas pool this July and the Geyser Point Bar and Grill which opened in February. I suggest you follow the Wilderness Lodge facts thread to find out all about the resort.

I'm sorry that I didn't quite understand your question. I know that construction changed the walkway between the Boulder Ridge Villas and the quiet pool. The walkway is now wider and longer. It extends further along the BR villas building than it used to. It also cuts through closer to the marina than it used to. So if there is a fire door on the quiet pool side of the resort then that might be a good exit to use to get to the new pool and the boat ramp. Otherwise, since it is a building with interior hallways, then a room close to the lobby is always a safe bet if your room request is to be close to transportation.

FWIW - my request would be a view of the villas pool since it is a gorgeous pool and a high floor close to the WL end of the building would have a lovely lake view.

Just a thought
The Touring Plans site is great for figuring out what to request. You can see the building, click around, see the views, etc
And then they will fax the request for you.
It has a fee but I've gotten every room request I have ever put in through them (I usually put in about ten or so options)
