1 Bedroom vs Studio. Is it worth it?

We have 2 little ones and have gotten studios on our 3 trips on points at WDW. We have a great time. They are good little sleepers and fall asleep without any problems. In a 1 bedroom you would still need to put your 4 year old on the sofa coach eventually. When staying at Residence Inns we used to put our older child 2 to 4 years down in the bedroom and move him later after we retired for the evening we would move him to the sleeper in the main room. If you have an agreeable little boy I would save the points and go with the studio. Our vacation is made by the interaction of our little family not the size of the accommodations. When we need a larger unit ie., 2 bedroom due to traveling with grandparents we do so. The fact that the 1 bedroom has a king instead of a queen offers very little to us over a studio with its 2 queens or 1 queen and a sleeper sofa. We ask to be near a pool so we are close to the laundry facilities. Have a great trip.

We are very much like Peggy Sue and her family. Our first stay was in a 2 bdr at OKW. It really spoils you. The jacuzzi is absolutey wonderful to come back to after a day at the parks and the extra room makes you feel like you are at home. I think it comes down to how many points you have to spare. Our last 2 stays have been in a 1 bdr, but we almost took a studio today for a trip we just planned for March, but my DH just couldn't do it and we opted for the 1 bdr. Next year we will have fewer points because of a long stay in October so I would be very happy to get the studio. We are a little different because it is generally just my DH and I. We did have extra family for the first trip but don't have any little ones to worry about. Which ever way you go, you'll still love it.

We own points at BWV & VB.

We have a 5 yo DS and always stay in a 1 bedroom. We like the extra space to stretch out and relax and the ability to put him to bed earlier, even though he seems to have more energy than we do by the end of the day. It is also nice having a full kitchen even though I don't really cook meals on vacation. We usually eat breakfast and snacks at night in the room.

The washer & dryer are a must for us. We always fly and having a washer and dryer in the room makes it very convenient to do a load of wash at night. That enables us to pack very light.

1 bedroom is good if you are going to cook. If you are eating out more often, then I think it is a waste of points. A studio is good enough.
