Hi everyone, I figure someone might know the answer to this. I am planning a trip with my family (4 of us) and my parents (2). The problem lies in that my family is staying 5 nights and my parents only 3. I do not want to reserve a 2 bed and then change to a smaller accommodation for the last 2 nights. Can I request a 1 bed and studio lock-off so that my family can stay in the 1 bed unit and my parents in a studio and then when they check out we just lock up the connecting door and keep the 1bed so that we don't have to move? How do I request that? When I make my reservation? Tia!

What you need to do is book a 2 bedroom lockoff unit for the 3 nights your parents will be there, then book a 1 bedroom for the remaining nights. You'll have MS place a request on your reservation to keep you in the 1 bedroom unit for the whole time. You'll have to check-out and check-in that day. When you check-in(the first day), again request this set-up. It's a request, not a guarantee, so you MAY have to move. I thought of doing something similar, but didn't want to risk having to move, so I'm just ponying up the points the 2 bedroom for the whole time.

I've done it for the exact same reasons. Luckily it worked out fine both times. Depending on where you are booking, I know BWV only has 2 bdrm lock-offs, so that was a given for us.

They don't want to have to clean any more then they have to I would imagine, so I would think they would try to keep you in the same room.

Good luck.

it will cost more points - but get a 1-bedroom for your family and a studio for your parents - just in case they cancel on you.

But they might not be connected to each other. Unless that is okay. If you go with the two bedroom lock off, you'll need to make sure you request a one bedroom lockoff. If you just go with the one bedroom, you might get a dedicated one bedroom (there are some) and it won't be the same on you were in at the beginning of your stay.

There's no way to guarantee the rooms will be connected if you try to save the points and as noted, you will have to check back in again. And if by chance you have to change rooms, you may lose part of the day with access to your things.

Thanks so much- I will go ahead and book a lock off 1 bed and a lock off studio tomorrow for next October at Kidani. I can't remember what the combinations are at Kidani, so I'll make sure I say lock off for both.
