popcorn::popcorn::I plan to reserve 8 nights in August in a 1 BDR. We have narrowed it down to AKV Kindani or BLT. My wife and I will be traveling with three 14 year old girls.

Which would you choose and why?

Tough call. Three 14 yr old girls? Yikes.

I'm not sure anything can beat BLT, but perhaps with what you're dealing with Kidani might be it. The Villa activities and area will allow the girls freedom and help you to get some relaxing in. I guess I'd choose Kidani, but if you were thinking of MK view at BLT that would be hard to pass on.

You're all sure to love either one!

We love BLT and will be staying there next year as well. I would choose that location as it is a quick walk to the MK.

At 14, that would give them easy access to it. My kids like the arcade at the CR.

There is also other things that you can do--parasail, take a boat ride to FW or WL, etc.

Good luck!!

Well, I love both! My only concern for Kidani with 3 14 yo girls is that it is so remote and, because of the savannahs (which are wonderful to view from the balcony), there is not really anywhere else to 'hang' or explore. At BLT they could walk over to CR and shop, hang in the arcade, take the monorail to the other resorts, or walk over to MK on their own - even take the monorail to Epcot if you let them venture that far on their own. Now maybe they won't be going off on their own - at that age my kids loved a few hours a day to themselves (and so did we;)). Their favorite resort at that age was BWV for just that reason. You can't make a 'wrong' choice - both resorts are GREAT!:thumbsup2

both places have community hall (activity centers) for them to hang out.

love 'em both.

guess it depends upon when you are going. August is HOT - so guess BLT it has the monrail (with air conditioning)

During our split (Kidani and BLT) stay a few weeks ago, the only thing that was a drawback for us was not having CS at Kidani.

AKL and Mara is a short walk/bus ride away.
While BLT doesn't have CS inside, the resort has much less walking and when crossing the skybridge, there's always things to look at (MK, monorails, Bay Lake, marina, parasailers, etc).

Also, one additional benefit for three 14 year old girls. If they want to be at a different pool by themselves, the Contemporary pool is very close to BLT. We had a room that looked out to that area and really enjoyed being able to see all the activity out there.

Both are great and I'm sure your family will enjoy either one.

Good luck with you decision.

If you can afford the high point costs, I would definitely do BLT. I would think a 14 year old would have some time away from you (although I could be wrong since my kids are still very small) and there is so many places to go hang out at BLT (rec room, both pools, beach area, movies outside at night, watching fireworks from the hotel, and the Contemporary hotel stuff too). It is just a much more "cool" place to be (at least I think a 14 year old would think so).

It depends on what you/they like more.

Animals or repeat visits to the MK and watching fireworks?

:) Bill

You guys are really making it tough to decide. One week until I hit the 7 month mark. Perhaps I won't have to choose....depending on availability.

Of course...now my wife and daughter are thinking Beach Club for the pool in August. This would mean extra points for a 2 BDR since I have five people.:confused3:scared1:
