I paid $1.789 on Wednesday.

I remember when I started driving gas was 1.30...

Yeah, don't you just love it? I hope they do that investigation they've been talking about and it isn't all just news bites for the politicians. My mom is in Amherst and the station close to her was still at 2.75 on Thursday.

Actually, I'm with the rest of you, happy to be paying $2.59 when a few months ago I was paying pretty much $2 more than that per gallon

Ah yes. I bought gas for $2.46 today. Not much better. If DP didn't have a great job that she loved I think the price of gas and heating (along with high property taxes, sales taxes, etc....) would have driven us out by now.

I wish, but I was excited and perfectly satisfied with paying $1.99 at Costco the other day. Filled my gas tank for under $20, and I never thought I'd see those days again either. Almost made me think about taking my van down and filling it for the first time in a year. Almost.

Even the Chicago suburbs have gotten into the $2.teens. I think it will continue to drop.

Can you believe we paid $4.20-some at its highest point in the summer? I can't believe a $2.00 drop.

And I'm not that old, but the lowest I remember ever paying was $0.75 ONCE in 1999.

That is great and I agree, never thought I would see it below $2 again. I paid $175 today to fill up, not sure how long it will last, but I will enjoy it while I can.

We keep a gas purchase log in our cars. Last time I paid l.60's for gas was in late 2005.

I agree with you. Never, ever thought I would see gas this cheap again. How long will this last?
