If I'm reading this correctly you mean cd-rw and dvd- rw. If you are you may want to reconsider and use cd-r and dvd-r.

The r seems to be more stable than the rw.

For the RW media to support multiple writings it seems logical that it must be a much more durable build. Therefore also more expensive.

But if you have proof otherwise please let me know so I do not continue to waste the extra money.

Or is it a more durable medium but data may be lost/corrupted for other reasons?

I agree with Bob - what if this online storage company goes out of business or their website crashes? It's probably highly unlikely...but I'd much rather know that my pictures safe with me. Which right now, they are with me...but definitely not safe!! I need to get one of those external hard drives and move some pictures!!
