Hello, we’re staying in resort for 2 nights but 1.5 days. 2 adults , 2 year old and 4 year old.
( pre cruise).

We’re planning to do Disney springs in the later afternoon with dinner on night one ( should we consider boardwalk instead?)

On our only full day we’d like to do a character breakfast ( where? My kids know the classic characters & Pixar although I’m sure they’d like all I think the above mentioned would be priority) and then the day at animal kingdom lodge

How does that sound ? Am I missing any thing super fun?
Riding the monorail?
Any character breakfasts to recommend?

Cape May at Beach Club is a great character breakfast Minnie Daisy and others. Looking at the animals at AKL. I wouldn't take kids on the monorail only to have them see Magic Kingdom and not go in! I would go to Disney Springs over Boardwalk, more restaurants.

Ride the monorail around the resort loop and then take the boat from MK to Fort Wilderness. They have a nice kids play area there near where you land. The restaurant there has been recently reopened as a quick service, so you could eat there or get a snack.

Disney Springs is a much more bustling place than the Boardwalk. It really depends on what you want. Lots of stimulation with big crowds or a quiet experience. If my kids were tired and overstimulated I would skip Disney Springs.

If you are in the Boardwalk area, you can take some Skyliner rides over to Hollywood Studios and Riveria. This is a rather quiet area.

The Art of Animation hotel has some cool Pixar theming to walk around and take pictures. They also have some play areas. You can eat there, walk around and easily spend a couple hours. It is also on the Skyliner path.

Animal Kingdom Lodge has viewing areas for the animals and the resort is beautiful to look at.

AKL is beautiful with viewing areas to see the animals but pretty sure there is not enough to entertain a 2 and 4 yo for entire day. I’d look for additional options.

Mini golf is fun.

Trying out different forms if transportation - Skyliner, bus, monorail, boats.

We really like the character breakfast at Topolino’s Tower, Riviera.

Thank you! If I am not mistaken - think between a character breakfast, AKL, enjoying the playground and pool at our resort and then boardwalk on day two, I think it’s a solid day for toddlers

Ah yes, you’re quite right. I hadn’t caught the part that you’re doing Boardwalk activities.

Plenty of fun planned!
