Howdy!

I am going to Florida for a work trip and I am thinking of flying in a day earlier to go to the parks. This would give me 1.5 days in the park. The half saying being the day I fly in and then 1 full day.

Epcot isn’t really a priority except Remy will be open.
I don’t have a desire to go to AK except a ride on Everest would be nice.

MK always a priority and a must and I would like to try for a boarding group for Rise and spend some time in galexys edge.

I’m debating the hopper or because I have limited time just do MK the day I arrive and HS the next day.

I agree with scrappinginontario. I would buy a 2-day base ticket now and then, on your DHS day, if you decide you want to hop, simply go to guest services and upgrade your ticket to a hopper.

Agree. Since you want to do rise, you may find you don't get a boarding group at the 7am drop and want to try instead at 1pm and either stay the whole day at HS if you do get a later-in-day boarding group or hop if you don't. As others said, you can always add hoppers day of at guest services, but you can't subtract them.

With flying you might not have as much time as you think. The last few trips we took prior to Covid our plane left an hour or 2 late due to a mechanical issue.

Just clarifying that Rise of the Resistance is located in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

If you really just want to do the 2 parks you can get a regular 2 day ticket for now and add the hopper later.
Oh yes! I can see how my post could cause that confusion.

Agree to buy regular tickets now & add hoppers later if it works for you onsite. Epcot is currently open much later than the other parks, so it's a good park to hop to after your main park closes if you're so inclined.

Thanks all. I think your right that waiting and seeing is best. So I can add a hopper even if I’m on my last day of the ticket and already scanned in?

when is your work trip? Remy doesn't open til October (you probably already know that but your post doesn't mention when the trip is so just didn't want you to be disappointed if you forgot)

You can only hop if there is capacity in another park so waiting to add a hopper is probably best (guest service line can be long at MK and HS), unless you are going off peak season and know you will have availability in another park (non summer; holidays).

You need a park reservation (in addition to the ticket) for entering the first park. You can try for ROTR only if you have park reservations for that day at HS (at 7 am from your hotel) and then change or keep your HS park reservation. You can try again at 1 pm if you already had HS as your park reservation AND are in the park I believe (could work if you will be in the park around noon).

Day 1. MK
Day 2. HS and park hop to Epcot (if you want to relax and drink around the world) or AK (it closes early so you may be only able to do a couple of rides, but Pandora has great photo ops at night)

Also, it’s easier to park hop to Epcot with the skyliner. Also the Epcot monorail to MK is not running at this time.

This (bolded above) is correct but it's worth knowing that there has not been a single instance of someone not being able to park hop since it was re-introduced Jan 1, including the past 6 days when all 4 parks have had full park reservations. I have called the Park Hopper hotline each day to verify this.

That’s good to know. I’m waiting to add park hoppers. I would want to know park hours for certain (Disney has only been releasing them 72 days ahead). All of this will probably change by Oct.

I'm hoping by October ALOT of things will change both at Disney and with the world.

I am guessing you will not be able to park hop day one as it is half a day. So go to HS and do RotR. Day two go to MK. Save $$$.
