1/4 cruise...no Grand Cayman for us!

We missed GC in October because of a tropical depression. I am sure the crew is ecstatic! There were only a handful of crewmembers left on board once we got to Cozumel! They were all at CNC's.

What do you do at the rainforest?

The Rainforest is a collection of steam rooms, saunas, and scented showers, plus there are wonderful heated tile loungers. Usually I hole up in there with a book and relax. There are photos on my website so you can get a better idea...it's sort of hard to describe.

If you run into Roger from Brazil (server), tell him his "mother" sends her love and says to write home!

If any of you cruisers bump into Gemma from England (Server) please tell her to read her e mail from Mum! If she looks too tired.......... I guess she been partying in Cozumel!!! Tell her we will be joining the fun on 1st Feb!!! Hope you all enjoy the rest of the cruise! Thanks

Hi Barb!

Sorry you missed out on the horseback riding.........that sounded awesome! I'm glad the weather sounds as if it staightened out a bit. If get another chance, do take the pictures of the "rainbows". I tried once when we were in Florida out on a boat, and yes they do show on film!!

Have a fabulous remainder of your cruise. Wish I were there even with the rough seas! ;)

The crew had a wonderful time in Cozumel last night....I think the whole ship (practicaly) was there at Carlos and Charlies!!!! We did not roll in until about 4:00 am and there were still tons of people partying!!!

We were not allowed to disembark until about 12:20 am or so, and the crew was lined up and chomping at the bit!!!

We have Beckie from Canada and Girish from India as our wait team and they are FANTASTIC!!!!

I haven't seen any of the servers mentioned. We have Adrian, who is an absolute riot, and Joyce, who gets my special iced tea just right. I think our head server's name is Joe...he stops by each night, but I am doing a mind blank. We have also seen Salvatorre, Carita, and Dalibor in Palo, all of whom we know from previous cruises. It was neat to see some familiar faces! Even though I miss the Wonder, they have made us feel so welcome. This cruise is so incredible that I am trying to use the missed Cayman stop to convince hubby that we should do it again Memorial Day week...all we need to do is switch our October Wonder sailing to Christmas in order to free up the vacation days (and I have to figure out how to fit it into the budget!).

Thanks Barb! Loved the Mayan report - glad you enjoyed it so much. We sure do appreciate your updates!~

Hey Rae, just read your post about Roger from Brazil, we had Roger last February as our server and was great, we had a group of 12 with us. Him and his assistant server Carmen were great.
Is he really your son or was he your server at one time?

If you have Adrian from England as your server.......... give him a hug from Gemma's Mum please. Thanks

Yes, Adrian is from England...we will be sure to tell him!!!
Just got back from the matinee of Disney Dreams, and now it's time for the spa. The cruise has gone by way too fast.

Hey Barb!....It's not over yet!

Oh, you have Adrian! You are lucky! We liked him so much on our first cruise, we asked for him again on our second (this past 12/7 to 12/14 cruise) and got him! My girls have such a crush on him, and he did wonders for my eldest daughter's self esteem (she is 12.5, and when you are feeling awkward and unsure of yourself, innocent but sweet attention from a cute guy makes you feel great!). If we go again, we will be requesting him, we like him that much.

Just out of curiousity, does he remember to take your napkin and place it on your lap when you sit down? He forgot me once (although my SIL, the giddy new divorcee, was never forgotten ;) ), and we never let him live it down! :)

If you get a chance, please say hello to him from the Hungarian and her family, and let him know I drank a glass of Tokaji Aszu on behalf of him and Zoltan when we returned! :)

Enjoy the rest of your cruise, I live vicariously through all your reports!

It's a long story but he isn't related - just someone who became a good friend when he helped us out (we had a very serious family emergency back on shore) and Roger got us through a very bad time.

Somehow when a person goes that much out of their way to help another, you can't help but feel like they are part of your family. He's a good man.

Erwin was his server back then.

Am so pleased you have had Adrian from England as your server this week! He is great fun, and is a good pal of our daughter who is also a server on the Magic. Adrians photos adorn daughters bedroom here!!! Am looking forward to seeing him again when we join cruise. Ask Adrian if he has planned any more "engagements" for Gemma!!! He played a huge trick on us last time, and nearly gave me heart failure!!! I will get my own back on him in Feb!
Safe journey home Ink. :earseek:

Wow, Adrian has quite a fan club! We were at Palo last night, so we didn't see him, but I will be sure to let him know tonight.
We managed to dock at CC today, even though it is quite windy (banana boat, parasailing, and boat rentals have all been cancelled). We disembarked for a couple of hours to keep our streak intact and are now headed to the spa.
