1/3/09 Magic - First Time To St. Croix

Have arrived..we are in Seattle...so unless you are in ALaska or Hawaii I am thinking you should have yours by now.

Any updates on how many of us will be participating in the FE? I've started on putting our gifts together and I need to know how many I should make. Thanks.

BTW...we're still waiting on the docs for two of our three ressies.

FE = So far, we have 10 girls (ages 2-18), 10 boys (ages 3-15) and a total of 46 people. Total # of cabins is 16. Everyone is still welcome to join but I will have to cut it off soon because I won't have time to get on the boards when it gets closer to Christmas. I think Friday the 19th is the last day to "sign up".
I have most of my FE gifts but if I need more we will be in WDW Thursday and Friday before the cruise. I have to finish our Fish Extender this week. Another trip to Joann's. My sewing machine does not work .....so plan B calls for fusing fabric, iron-on letters, and hot glue.
Only 17 days until we arrive in Florida, 19 until we cruise!

Are the docs coming USPS, UPS or FedEx? Two cruises we had to pick them up at the FedEx office and our last cruise they were just left on the doorsteps. If it's USPS it could be another week before we see them. Our town post office is a little slow at getting things out.

Our doc's arrived this 7.30 morning via FedEx. We are very excited!! Our daughter still doesn't have any idea we are going on the cruise. She thinks we are going to New York for Christmas and New Year, and then Florida for her 13th birthday. Can't wait to see the look on her face on 3rd January when we arrive at the port!!!

7 more sleeps until we say goodbye to summer and hello to winter in New York. We hope it snows!

What does FE stand for and what do I have to do to join?

"Fish Extender" Outside each cabin is a fish where DCL leaves mail or other such items. People started hanging stockings or other such items to collect gifts and information in. They became know as "Fish Extenders" because they made more room to put things in than the fish allowed.

We are using it for a gift exchange. It's fun.

What does FE stand for and what do I have to do to join?

To join just give me your names, stateroom number and number of people and ages of children. I will add you to the list. I will be passing the list out at the DISmeet on Saturday at 3:00. If you don't get it there I will have some on my door, 6038.
If you participate you can distribute your gifts whenever you wish. Last cruise, we had something in our stocking every time we returned to the room.

We changed our excursion on St Croix to the Scenic Island Tour. I think we will see more and have better photo ops. After lunch we are still planning to have a cab take us to Point Udall and wait while we take some pictures.

I hope we get our documents today. It was 2 degrees on my way to work today, I need some warm sunshine. We dropped 50 degrees overnight.

My aunt got her docs today around lunchtime via ups. I can't wait to head home to check our mail.

IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!! We all have our doc I just need to open it up and review them all. I went to try and finish some xmas shopping but I am still not done but I am doing really well budget wise.
