Hello Disboarders,

I found these boards to be invaluable when I was planning my Land/Sea for April of 04.
Now we’re headed back to Orlando. We’re arriving on 1/2/06, and do not really care about the accommodations for that night. That room just allows us to get to the parks in the morning on 1/3. We likely will just use Priceline.
We do need decent accommodations for 1/3-1/6.
I’m looking for VALUE, my wife is just plain cheap. I believe we would want to keep it under $130/night before taxes and fees.
We will be traveling with our two children. I love them more then is possible, I just don’t like to sleep in the same room with them.
In my mind, my acceptable minimum, are those kid suites which have the kids behind a partition with there own TV, but they’re really in the same room.
My wife would love the Nickelodeon or two rooms and connecting door at Pop Century. A one bedroom with a pull out sofa is even better, a two bedroom is better still. And a 3 bedroom within a few miles of the parks would be perfection to me, but unlikely for our budget.
So we’re looking for suggestions, both in places to stay and strategies to get a good deal.
We would not be negative towards a timeshare complex. We actually stayed at a WestGate property two years ago (Priceline). There was no pitch, and I found the place to be decent. Besides Westgate, what other timeshares might be nice? Fantasy? Others?
Are people having success with Priceline (w/Bidding for Travel), Hotwire, SkyAuction, or Lastminutetravel?
What about Allears, Mousesavers, Dreams Unlimited? Generally which one has the best value?
Should I get the room immediately, or wait a bit longer? These dates are supposed to be “Value Season”.
Finally, what do you think would be the best possible deal on property?
Thanks in advance.

I just popped your dates into hotelkingdom.com website and you can get a 2 BR at Cypress Point GV for $93. per night, before tax. We stayed there in August and liked it enough to book again in December. Can't beat the price. Pools were okay. Another option to look into is renting DVC points. You could get a 1 b/r at OKW for around $120. per night---lots and lots of space plus you'd be on property and getting all the Disney perks. Check out the DIS DVC Rental board for more info.

ETA: Oops, the points chart was down and I guessed wrong. OKW would be more like $160. per night. But if you can swing it, well worth the money. Good luck!
