We all had a great trip. My dd katelyn-12 loved the kids club. She met some great kids and is missing them all. We are considering eastern next year Jan 30th. I will only vacation on the Disney Cruise line They have hooked me!!

We also had a wonderful cruise.

Very nice and relaxing.

Sorry I did not make it to any of the meets but I forgot to take note of the times and places before I left:confused3

Looking forward to reading all of your trip reports.

Book the Jan. 16 Eastern! Tell Katelyn that Cassie says hi (from kids' club). I agree that there were a lot of great kids on this ship. She already got a call from someone in Montana yesterday (who was on the ship).

Hey everyone! We are still here in Orlando and enjoying the last few days of our vacation before heading back to freezing cold Alaska (yuck)! We had a wonderful time and it was great meeting a few of you at the meet. Thanks so much for the FE gifts as we loved getting them and my little one loved her little toys. Erie-I am so glad to hear you got your FE back! My husband and I were saying how it was terrible that someone stole it so we were so happy to hear that you got it back. Disney did a great job on that one!

I will probably start on a trip report when I get back but I am looking forward to reading everyone elses! We didn't rebook but that is only because we will be living in Japan by this summer and not sure when we will make it back to the mainland. I was bummed about not rebooking since we had the last 4 times...oh well.

Once again, thanks for the great FE gifts and I hope everyone had a "MAGICal" vacation!

All hail Liam & Jason is right!!!!! I missed them and Michelle so much last night when I had to make dinner:) And I wanted to thank you for adding to my happy tears this week...I keep crying every time I tell everyone how you approached me in the stairwell to tell me that you were glad we made it for the cruise--it was one of the highlights of my week. And I had a ton of highlights!!!

Thanks for the kind words. It's funny, I was sitting at dinner in Lumiere's that first night on board, eyes as big as saucers since I first laid eyes on the Magic some seven hours earlier, and I was looking around, checking things out. I looked at the table next to us and saw three young girls, tickled pink to be there, much as my family was. I did a double take, as I recognized two of those girls from a picture I'd seen very recently. They were your daughters from your avatar, and I recognized them because I, like everyone else who read your story, was touched by it and the pictures made an impression. When I saw you in the midship stairwell, I had to convey best wishes personally. I was genuinely happy you had made it. :thumbsup2

And your absolutely right about Michelle. On Wednesday, my wife had asked if chips & salsa were available, since they weren't on any menus. Michelle got them for her and made sure they were at our table every night thereafter. A little thing, to be sure, but what a great example of that amazing Disney service.

A couple of questions from a board Noob. Do trip reports get posted here, or someplace set aside for such things? Also, do folks like them long & detailed, or more concise & to the point? I ask because I tend to get a bit verbose:confused3, my journalism background at work. Anyway, I look forward to reading everyone else's reports too, it'll be interesting to compare notes. BTW, the wind chill here today is -10. Welcome home indeed.

There is another board dedicated to full trip reports. Size doesn't matter. :)

I am smack in the middle of my report now. Kinda like therapy! I put my DD to bed and write up one day every night. I am up to Grand Cayman day for tonight (if all goes well...DD was sick last night and puked 6 times. Poor washing machine has had a hard time since we got home!).

Anyone feel free to jump into my trip report and let me know when I have forgotten something important, or to ad some tidbits. And I also get pretty wordy!!!

Hey all! We are back in frigid Alaska and I am working on my trip report. I will be posting it within the next day or so. I will check out your trip reports as well as this will be my first so hopefullly I get some feedback! I already miss the Magic! I hope everyone had a great trip!

We had a great trip too, glad to see everyone had positive experiences. Our biggest problem was my SIL booked adjoining rooms for my family and in-laws but we soon found out they weren't adjoining. So after many calls to guest services they told us we'd have to wait until 5pm to see if we could get moved. In the mean time they called the agent (Small World Vacations) and the agent played dumb. So we waited to hear back (and lost valuable unpacking time!) at 5 to there were no adjoining rooms left. Pretty much what we thought would happen. My SIL did get a $100 credit to her room for her troubles even though it was the agents fault. She booked the trip in July so it is unfortunate there was a mix up that early on. I guess someone in my party should have checked a map ...

Our kids 6 & 9 loved the kids clubs and it was hard to get them to leave for dinners and excursions, especially the 9 year old. Our 12 year son liked the quest club. Mostly he loved roaming the ship and having some freedom since he was staying with his grandparents next door and Mom couldn't check on him as much as she would have liked!

Sorry we didn't make it to the meets, we were flustered on Sunday about the possble room change and I forgot all about the other one. I have enjoyed getting to know you on the boards and look forward to reading all your reports.

We did have an awesome trip, I would say in got better and better as time went on. I doubt we will do it again but feel blessed to have done it once. What an experience!

Emily

Don't know if anyone is still checking this post, but if so I wanted to say thank you to all. Our first cruise was an experience of a life time, my kids, specially my eldest was soooo sad that it was over.
The fish extender was also great, thanks to all for your gifts and for allowing us to be part of this unique experience.
Hope that we bump into each other on another cruise.
Thanks again:thumbsup2
