1/22/2006 Roll Call for Wonder Cruisers

Good news, it looks like all the cat 12s are sold out now...so hopefully we won't have to double up....lol

Also, to all those that booked a cat 12 with 4 people - you are automatically upgraded to at least a cat 11! Cat 12 rooms only hold 3 people but for some reason they still let a family of 4 book the cat 12. Nice discount!

Alvaro, I hope I didn't embarrass you! :earsboy:

Oh, believe me Melissa... you don't wanna have to share the same bed with my 12 yo son... he will literally kick you out :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I know what you're talking about... got an 11yo son here. Been kicked out many times. Of course, the alternative is my 6yo daughter who will squeeze you against the wall or your significant other or whatever other obstacle she can find. :rotfl:

I know what you mean about falling in love with the Magic. Me too. Actually it's my husband's fault. We were going to go on a cruise together for our 10th anniversary and my mom actually sent us the money for it. My dh did not want to leave my kids behind for a whole week, so we decided on DCL. That was his mistake! lol. Here we come again and I'm already prepping him for the next one. I told him the other day that I knew we wouldn't have a deposit ready on the October cruise, but gee, what about we just book him and me for another one when I'm on the Wonder in January? That's only half the deposit and we could add the kids a month or two later, right? And we could book in late May 2007 I told him, because no ds missing middle school and probable resident rates. Could always change it to May 08 if we need to! Don't forget the nice discount and the shipboard credit! I'm the queen of justification, I tell you.

WeLuvDCL... thanks for the welcome. So the cheap seats are sold out, huh? Thought that was a pretty darn good deal! Wonder where we'll all end up? My dh is spoiled and will only cruise cat 6 or above, but I'm willing to try anything if I'm on the boat!! :flower:

Does that mean the "guaranteed Cat 12" will get a "nicer" cabin??? :Pinkbounc Awesome!!! :cool1:

BTW, thaks for the tip on booking cat 12 for 4... a few less minutes spent on line trying to get the best deal ever... :badpc:

And don't worry... you did not embarrass me... :rotfl:

Wao!!! Melissa! You are good! :earseek: Need to get some tips from you in January. I'm alway planning the next couple of vacations at the same time...

Long story short: I met someone (Kelli) on an internet group and it turned out she was going with her familiy on the Magic's May repo cruise. We emailed back and forth for almost a year. She went on the cruise with almost 300 DIS members. I'm a pilot in the Panama Canal and managed to be assigned on the Magic's transit through the Canal that day. We met on the ship and had the most wonderful time with lots of very nice people at Kelli's huge verandah...... guess that's it!

I won't be cruising with you but wanted to let everyone else know you will be cruising with a great bunch of people from the May Repo cruise

Hi Alvaro :wave2: Hi Dawn & Rob :wave2: Hi Kelli :wave2:

I was one of the very lucky people to have met Alvaro during the May Repo cruise on Kelli's "bowling alley" balcony and I will never forget how incredibly nice he was and he answered our never ending questions about the Panama Canal.

You guys will have a blast on the cruise....and if anyone is interested in doing the Bridge tour it is usually offered the afternoon you are in Nassau.

... and I'm planning to book a 7-nights cruise for next December also. :cloud9:

Alvaro....are you sure I can't talk you into booking the 11 day Southern Caribbean in September 2006??????

Hi Elaine!!! :wave2: You're so sweet! I'm glad you stopped in to say "HI!". You should join us on this cruise - rates are great! I really wish we could cruise with you again on the 11 night but we booked the 10 night instead. I'll keep playing the lotto and then maybe we can do both! :cool1: :rotfl2:

:earsgirl: Hello all! I am Michelle that MelissaE1 talks about. I am not very computer literate, but thought I'd give this a try. I am feeling a bit guilty about going on a DCL cruuise without my children, especially since they have not been on one ever. I will say that I still look forward to enjoying all that this ship has to offer and spending time with my gal pal. Who knows...maybe this will get me to save some $ up so our family can cruise DCL??? princess:

Welcome "home" Michelle! You could have not choosen a better DCL cruise..... we'll have a great time planning and cruising together :grouphug:

WELCOME Michelle!!
Don't feel guilty about leaving your kids at home, think of it as.. research...ya, that's it. Then, when you go on your next DIS cruise with your family you'll know exactly what to expect to make your family vacation more enjoyable! See you are actually doing them a favor by taking this "learning" cruise... ya, that's it. :rotfl: And you will cruise DCL again...once you step foot on a Disney ship you'll be hooked....just ask Alvaro....:rotfl:

Well, well, well... looks who's posting! :wave2: I agree with WeLuvDCL... this is just a reconnaisance trip for future family benefit. Besides, Mom will come home really, really happy... essential for children's wellbeing and general survival. See? It's a benefit for them all the way around. You know I'm the queen of justification. :teeth:

Alvaro, I also am impressed with your taste in ties. :rotfl:

Under 150 days... next thing you know it will be double digits. The best thing about January cruising to me (besides the price!) is that it give you something to look forward to after the holidays. :cool1:

Welcome Michelle. If you start to feel guilty about the kids, I am sure your DIS friends will let you borrow theirs. I agree with the research idea. It is very important to properly plan a vacation for your family. You don't want them stuck out in the middle of the ocean and having a terrible time. Maybe they won't like cruising. You never know until you check things out. :rotfl: If folks will post the members, ages, or stateroom numbers of their families/groups, I'll keep the list updated.

Welcome everyone. I don't feel so lonely now. I was starting to get really worried. :earsboy:

See... I work on ships and always thought that going on a cruise would be like another day at work.... Took a cruise with Carnival 2 years ago, and it wasn't that bad... thought "maybe I'll do it again sometime"... And then along came the MAGIC and something *magical* happened... ***A day at work that felt like a vacation***... end of the story... I'm hooked on DCL ::MickeyMo

And Melissa... glad you like my tie... :earboy2: ... bought it at WDW last January to wear it on a Wishes cruise while re-proposing to my ex-wife soon to be my wife again.... maybe I'll tell you all about it in January... :rolleyes1

Alvaro...just think on this DCL cruise...you won't have to answer endless questions about the Canal and hopefully you won't get writer's cramp again!!!!!! :teeth:
