1/22/2006 Roll Call for Wonder Cruisers

good morning everyone. Running a marathon. Whew that just makes me tired thinking about it. I've never been a runner though. even in school on our basketball team, we lost every game. LOL

A business trip to Hawaii....how cool is that. Must have been planned by female employees or wives. Ha Ha
I wouldn't miss that one either, but would likely leave ALL KIDS AT HOME.



We are thinking of what to do today. It is kind of rainy and blah so I think chuck E Cheese and a movie will be on the agenda.

I think I win the embarrassed big-mouth award for today. We drove through Taco Bell (and in 9 years I think they've gotten my order right about 10 percent of the time) and I thought they overcharged me. They have a bad habit of raising the prices without changing the sign. So I totally hassled the poor girl in the window and she had to get a manager (whom I believe I asked for) who went out and looked at the sign herself and guess what? I read it wrong. Open mouth, insert foot. To make matters worse, they totally messed up my order (as usual) and I had to park and go in and ask them to fix it. Embarrassing. Top it off with two 11 year olds in the back seat (my ds and friend) who thought the whole thing was a complete riot.

What's that they say about making sure your brain is engaged before you put your mouth in gear?

Wives are definitely taking over. The guys have been comparing notes and they are all afraid to leave us at home! They are afraid we won't speak to them again... or worse. No kids will be allowed of course. In fact, I'm not taking my kids on that one, or the Wonder, and I just found out DH (who is Soccer Commissioner for our local organization) has regional meetings in Feb. I believe at WDW and I think I'm tagging along on that one sans kids, too. I would feel really guilty but we take our kids everywhere usually and they did just get off the Magic, after all. At least, that's what I keep telling myself...

My kids would like to move in with you... they love Chuck E. Cheese. Too bad they tore the one down that was closest to us.

HOpe everyone had a great saturday! My kids had school today so it was just DH, and I our 2 ys old DS Nate. Wow I had forgotten how quiet and easy it can be with only one child as opposed to 4! LOL Before ya ask, the kids had 10 days of a construction delay at their school. While all the other schools went back to school, my kids school started 10 days later becasue of the construction. SO rather than push pack the last day of school( goo thing to becasue we have a cruise planned) they opted to do some Saturday schools and a few in service days. Like This Friday they will have to go to school for Veterans Day while most other kids have it off. OK I know I am blabbering Im gonna shut up now

I know for some reasons kids love chuck e cheese. We even found on in Orlando last summer! We try to scope them out wherever we are! I know we take our kids most every where too! None of us have ever been on a cruise before though. I am sure your kids had a great time on the magic.

does September qualify as "summer" (you'll have to excuse me but in Panama we have two seasons: "Rainy Season" and "VERY rainy season".... ) We're planning to be up there in September (think it's the weekend of the 15-17) for Disneyland's inaugural Half marathon (I'm the one running, DW will cheer up from the sidewalk and celebrate after the race)... think Kelli is planning on meeting us there too!

Absolutely! September still qualifies as summer--especially since it's still really HOT! I will mark that weekend on my calendar, and we'll drive up and cheer you on too! (It's probably really early in the morning--bummer, maybe we'll just have to stay over in a hotel. ) Glad to have you back Alvaro!

Gee, I think I got Alvaro's "Disboards isn't telling me your talking" affliction!!!

Just a couple things I feel I must chime in on.....

We (Keith) were only thinking about joining up with Alvaro in Vegas....I know you'll finish in great time...we'll be waiting at the buffet..... Not sure I could get Keith to CA 3 times in 9 months.....since we'd NEVER been there together until last May!!!

Karin, 830p your time is 930p our time....I'd been asleep for an hour and a half by then....awake for an hour and a half in the night, and slept until 7am...unheard of for me....guess I needed it! We continued to paint yesterday...the living room is slowing getting purple wall to wall! At least it isn't drying that color!!!

Here's a tip at Chuck E Cheese....check the bottom of the ball pen for change...my neice made about $2 in change when she tried it.....even found someone's remote control!! She turned it in at the front desk and they were VERY confused.....seems they don't have anything that uses a remote....My personal opinion is some wife decided to get even....and the hubby is STILL looking for his remote!!!!
