I know you're not talking about me.... Good morning everyone!!!
What does this mean? Can someone confirm this information? Does this mean I must change my plans AGAIN?... and stay at a Disney hotel for a couple of nights?... :earseek: HELP!!!

Guessing it may not help you, since you're going to be there for SO long....also, I was talking to ANYONE that's been quiet lately....so I guess you count, buddy!!! :flower:

Off to breakfast with my folks before they leave town!!! ttfn!

Wrong, Kelli! Right now I'm paying $100 x 4 for the non-expiration option on our 10-days WDW tickets... I haven't run my numbers yet, but I'm sure 7-days MYW tickets would come very handy! Heck, I would leave the rest of the "tour" at the timeshare and moved to a WDW resort if "forced to"... :Pinkbounc

Sadly, due to health issues we have had to cancel our January trip. We moved the ressie to next Jan, so maybe we will see some of you on your return trip. The final payment is due tomorrow and we waited until the last minute to decide. I have enjoyed "meeting" each of you and will be sailing with you in spirit. Have a wonderful trip. There is so much magic aboard a Disney cruise. You will have the time of your life. Enjoy.

Well, I've been wrong before.....do you have any idea how many days you'll actually be spending at WDW? Carol says I'd have to stay the 3 days land portion at Disney before the cruise, so I guess its not going to work for me anyway!!! :confused3

But man, what a great deal!! I'd have changed our dates if I hadn't already bought airfare! Oh, well, its only money....... :rotfl2:

AW!!! I'm sorry to hear that....but your health is more important right now.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've had to postpone your cruise. We were right down the hall from you on deck 8. Thanks for all the info you gave me in the beginning! Take good care. :wizard:

Ok Kelli!!! Q#1: Who's Carol? ... I did not get any messages regarding this offer... and I could make good use of it, since I'll be at WDW many days BEFORE the cruise...

Good afternoon everyone. I wasn't on this morning. We were out driving around looking at the beautiful fall leaves near Dubuque, Iowa which is right along the Mississippi river. This year's leaves are spectacular. :sunny:

Carol is my TA at MCFL. I didn't know anything either until Super Goof mentioned it, but of course, it doesn't help me at all! :guilty:

Btw, didn't your Mom tell you ITS NOT NICE TO BRAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't this weather something else, Julie?!?!? We're having a fall this year too. Its VERY unusual for us to see fall colors, since we usually have a good frost around Labor Day and the leaves are usually long gone by this time of year.....my hosta finally got frosted last night~~it was 25º last night, but all our trees still have most of their leaves....quite unusual!!!

Yes, The weather has been great. :) It actually has just started getting cool here. Today is 46, which is the coldest it has been yet. We have lots and lots or bright red trees this year. It is amazing. We haven't had frost yet and have still been having to mow :-( Oh well..I love the fall. It is my favorite season. Football, leaves, cool weather, and home made soup. That is about perfect for me!

We didn't have to mow as much as normal because it was so dry here, but we still had to mow about every 10 days. We also mow for my father-in-laws apartments here in town. I can't complain though. We have a small yard. You can have it mowed and trimming done in about an hour. Usually my husband does the mowing though and I watch the kids so they don't get in the way.

Well about a week and our final cruise payment is due. Woo hoo.

I have been keeping my fingers crossed for a good disney discount to come out so we can visit precruise. Lets hope so.... we traded off our gas hog full size van Friday for a minivan and didn't get a very good trade value because the market has fell on full size vehicles.

We were burried a few pages back so I thought I'd bring us back up front. I hope everyone is having a great day/week. :)

Good morning!

I need some suggestions for what to do in Nassau for those of you who have been there before. We have decided against booking the dolphin encounter (after seeing a few scenes from Primetime last night). We have two kids, 4 and almost 8, so the "boring" tour things are out. I also would really love to see the pirate museum, but I think it might be too scary for the kids.

Besides the ship, are there any fun restaurants close by where we can have lunch and then get back on the ship. Since it is our first time to Nassau, we would like to get off the ship for a couple of hours. We will most likely spend the rest of the afternoon onboard.

Just thought I'd ask you all before I start researching it myself. Thanks!

Kelli, what is the picture you have under your name??!

Happy Halloween!

Hi, Karin! Sorry it took me so long to respond. We've been out of state for most of the week. I didn't want to haul the laptop for the few minutes each day I knew I'd have, so I went cold turkey!! (It was awful!!!) ;)

My pic is just one of the stock photos on the boards, but it has fond memories for me! It's the Hulk roller coaster at US IoA. Keith and I went on it while I was "on the patch" and he wasn't.....we found out who the real ride wimp is....after that, I had to start sharing my patches for a couple days!!! :rotfl2:

My TA sent me last week....just an idea for people in Nassau. I'm not sure how long they've been doing this.

>>Junkanoo is a loud and boisterous national festivity loosely derived from African customs. It takes place in January and in June, and the rest of the year is spent getting ready for it. Although the exact origins are unknown, it is thought to have its roots in slave celebrations on their only days off of the year. To celebrate, they decorated themselves with costumes made of paper.
Today, organizations may take a year to create their costumes, still of paper but much of it specially imported from Europe. Those fabulous costumes are on display at the Junkanoo Museum you will visit.

Your guide, Arlene, is a one-of-a-kind find. She is an incredible talent on her own and her knowledge, not just of Junkanoo and the culture of the Bahamas but of all facets of the island, is unbelievable. She will relate to all ages and will entertain rather than teach. With her, you will visit an authentic junkanoo "shack" in the historic district of Nassau, where she grew up. You will also participate in a Junkanoo workshop where you and your family will be able to create something - a hat or an ornament. Then, using native instruments like goatskin drums, cowbells and conch shells, you'll create Junkanoo music.

A 'must' stop for families and visitors who want to experience the 'true-true' culture of the Bahamas!

The cost is $35 per person.<<

I'll never forget the one time when DW and I decided to go on this one w/o our children (they were about 12 & 9 at the time). Our last glimpse of them was while going up "nice and slow" :rotfl2: ... they were seating at a bench next to the roller coaster waiting for us... :guilty: And then it hit us... What If anything happens to us???? :earseek: NEVER AGAIN!!!

HI guys! OK I have decided to go ahead and take this cruise! So it looks like you are stuck with me! Although, I had to fork over my CC for $1000 to pay the deductible on my car on Tues! I'll tell you what! That hurt something fierce paying that much money for something that wasnt Mickey related! Yikes! Anyways, my TA told me there is a parking increase at the port in case you all havent heard. It is not $12 a day fro those who drive (like me)....
