Nice idea. I accosted a couple in an elevator in LV years ago to hand off the remainder of a case of water we had in our room and didn't finish.

Water is a necessity out there, so I'm sure they made use of it, but this is quite generous. Is there a common hallway where other guests will walk past this? If so, maybe put a note on top so people easily understand the situation.
