Have you sailed DCL before?

Hi!
Thanks for the warm welcome!
I have never sailed DCL before- but have sailed a number of times before-
Norweigan,Celebrity, carnival(multiple times out of Cape C)
We have also been to DW lots of times- never actually counted- but have stayed at the polynesian, campground, wilderness lodge and polynesian.
We have lots of family in Fl. Most living in the Ormond beach area- nice & convenient to Disney!

Welcome new friends.
:welcome:

For so long, we thought we were going to be all alone. It is great to see so many kids. Anyone thinking of a DISmeet. Maybe around the time of the sailaway party so that all the kiddos can meet?

Sounds good. Any suggestions from anyone as to where? On deck or inside? We were thinking of (finally) checking out the CC party-thing - whatever it is?? - before sailing. Do you know when that is & how long it takes?

She was on another thread for this sailing that was started in October. I invited them to join us and went ahead and added them.

either that, or I was just grabbing people off of other trips to make them go with us to up our numbers.

That sounds like a great idea to meet up :cool1:
I'm finally getting really excited - my DS just turned 11 today and I surprised him with the added WDW trip after the cruise for 3 days ! Now I have to figure out where to stay and which parks to prioritize - 3 days is not enough time to cover everything!!!!!
Welecome everyone - I love how diverse the sailing parties are - some w/just couples, others w/kids etc.
xx

I am game for a meet up! I'll rely on you DCL veterans to throw out some ideas about where & when!
I am getting excited now!
DD's birthday is 6 days before the cruise....she will be 10. This is part of her celebration too...but my BIG baby- turning 40(DH) actually asked for this trip for his celebration! His bierthday will be the day before we set sail! We'll actually be able to be in the Magic Kingdom just like he asked to be! I aim to please! pirate:

I've only been to one & it was held outside of the Promenade Lounge on Deck 3 - down the hall from PC). It was nice, but I think our group was blocking 'traffic' as we got larger.

Just some suggestions -
1) The 'secret' verandah on Deck 7 Aft
2) The open area with seats -- I think it's on Deck 4, midship - directly above Triton's?
3) Deck 10 outside near one of the pools? Possibly near the Wide World of Sports area where it's a little less busy & the kids can run around on the basketball court if they want?

Anyone else have any others?

Just curiuos, which deck everyone is staying on? My family and I will be on Deck 5 - we were lucky enough to score a SPH - #5020 if I remember correctly.
I've never sailed all the way forward like that, hope it's not too bumpy!

My DW and I are staying in a category 9 on deck 2.

We're staying on deck 6 - category 6.

missmdr, the only time we didn't get a verandah was when we stayed in 5020 & we really loved it. No difference to us in the "feel" of the ship. Those huge windows are terrific, too. :boat: :sail:
