Day 6,At Sea:
The weather was sunny but cool and windy,so a change in plans for our at sea day, which enabled us to enjoy some of the indoor activities.
After breakfast the girls went to thekids club for a while, and DH and MIL saw Haunted Mansion. DH and I saw a snowglobe in the ships store that we loved- it had several Mickeys around a ships wheel. Well the display models were broken. they had one in stock and it too was damaged. Asked if we could order it and have it shipped and were told they do not ship, despite the fact they do ship larger items that can't be carried as well as silent auction items. They need to work on this a little, not display items they can't sell. I'm still thinking about that snowglobe,it was really nice.
Anyway, we all had lunchh in Parrot Cay. it was the seafood buffet and it was good, although not alot that I could eat. the desserts were wonderful.
Caught the matinee of Disney dreams which was lovely. Liked Golden Mickeys just a little better. Its really neat to watch the girls faces as they watch the show.
Next, went to jackpot bingo, and wish I could say I won,but it was fun trying.
Dinner was at Palo and it was an outstanding evening. Began with a Bellini. We were very fortunate to have Marco as our server,he is truly excellent. He started us off with antipasti. Then the delightful little pizza to share.we ordered apppetizers, calamari and shpimp with white bean sand asparagus, and he also brought fresh mozzarella salad which he thought we should have.
As it was the captains gala night, lobster was on the menu, with a sauce(forget exactly what it was) and filet was also on the menu. So Marco brought us both surf and turf. It was so good. Table next to us was envious,as there server had not offered to do the same. Marco also brought us some linguini carbonara to share as he thought we'd like some pasta as well. It was too much food, wish i had a bigger stomach, could only eat half of everything.
For dessert, Marco brought us extra desserts also because panne cotta is his favorite. Well he was right,it was heavenly. But 4 desserts for 2 people is obscene! Anyway,it was a fantastic dinner. the food was so well done, and the service delightful.
