We were so excited for theis day. We enjoyed room service again today. I enjyed watching the ship pull in and prepare for tendering. Seeing the other ships from other lines was fun as well. We headed to Walt Disney Theatre and waited about twenty minutes to get let in. We had a nine o'clock half day excursion with Captain Marvin and wanted to make sure we got there in time. We were about twentieth in line so we were feling OK. They led us down to the tender area. We missed the first one, but were about tenth in line for the next tender. Well we watched our boat BANG and CLANG against the ship. It was like a bull in a shoot at a rodeo. We percariously jumped aboard. Shortly after that the tender captain said no more as he was very concerned. We scuttled off and left half a family behind. We got off the tender and headed left to Captain Marvins office. Along the way there were some neat photo opps. Were stopped at a small shop near Marvins then went over and checked in. We were off shortly and were a bit ahead of schedule so stopped at the Governor's House on the way. we got to Marvins and boarded our boat. Then Captain Marvin came on and introduced himself to us. He is a neat old fella. We were off. First stopp for snorkeling was more for flaora than fauna, but for newbies it was a good time to get familiar with the water. We found the water to be warm enough, but a bit rough. DD 5 just bout drowned me cloimbing to the top of my head. It was kind of a bummer as she has spent each bath for the last year "simming under water" and circled in our four foot deep pool with her snorkel gear all summer. Then off to the stingrays. I LOVED IT. THE GIRLS FREAKED. Again we spent a great deal of time in advance studying the rays and preping. Well all for naught. I got some greayt pictures and had a blast. I actually almost caught one myself. Feeding them is WILD. We then went a couple of hundred yards to the reef and snorkeled. It was a bit rough, but all but dd 5 went for it. I was overall disappointed with what we saw. Little color and less quantity than I expected. BAck to the boat and off to the Holiday Inn beach. Upon arriving we just jumped into some chairs. I ordered some food. Quickly we were pointed toward an adjacent beach area. I questioned, about paynig for the chairs they guys said ten bucks I said Ok three chairs. I canceled our water oreder as that came with the chair. The waitress said we could have the water for no charge so we had plenty. The waves were prety sizable and fun. The beach was super and the sun big and bright. A good time was had by all and every orifices of my dds was full of sand. I have never seen sand snot before. That was new to me. We showered off and went for a taxi. It was then we were informed that due to the rough seas tenders after ours were cancelled and the Magic had moved to the other side of the island. I negotiated a lower price for the taxi *** dd 5 lap sat. I also learned you should ask how long the wait because they want to run full cabs. After fifteen minute waut our driver gave us to another driver with asmaller capacity van and we with another couple with a dd were off. It was a lonfg ride and well worth the $6 a piece. DD 8 had to wee wee so panic was in her eyes with each additional mile (information you really didn't need). We tendered easily and I must say when they move your ship it is reassuring once you do see it again. We liesurly cleaned up for dinner and were off. We watched Jeff Harrison in the Rockin Bar D he was pretty funny. Then off to Hercules. It was well done. Then bed asap as we were TIRED.
