The cruise IS my kids christmas gift, so they don't know they are going yet. So, for christmas I bought them stuff for the cruise, sunblock, dress clothes, swim wear, flip flops, pirate stuff, buckets and shovels. So when they open all that stuff on christmas morning they are gonna think I've gone nuts (we live in new england, no need for sunblock in Dec.) I printed out some "fake" boarding passes for them to open last. I can't wait to see their faces! We're also going with another family with kids their age. They don't know either.

Awe, that sounds great !! They are going to be excited. I can't keep it a secret. I'm too excited so there's no way of holding it in till Christmas. We told our girls the day we booked.

I have had such a hard time of it myself, especially considering we booked last January . Instead of telling them about it, it's been 11 months of driving my husband completely NUTS talking about it. I can't wait to tell them so I have someone who will be just as excited as me

For those of you who are making packages up for your kids, Walgreens has a special of BOGO of the disposable cameras. BUT these are Disney themed. The ad shows the Princesses and Hanna Montana, I don't know what else they have in the store.

We aren't telling them until the day before we leave and we will be in WDW for 1 day prior tp the cruise! I am so excited- I booked this in the beginning of February and I am sooooo excited to see their reaction!

It just dawned on me (actually, it just dawned on my DW) that we're going to be at St. Maarten on the day of Barack Obama's inauguration, which happens at 12 noon E.S.T. on January 20th, or 1 p.m. in St. Maarten.

Didn't think about it until just now. I wonder if the Magic will have it televised on the screen over the Goofy pool? This might put a damper on some people's excursions. Maybe we can ask them to tape it, and show it on one of the entertainment channels, or in the Buena Vista Theatre later in the day.

Anybody else interested?

I know!!! I didn't think of it until I was talking to my DS 2nd grade teacher and told her that I was going to pull my son out of school to go to the inauguration - she said "aren't you going to be on a cruise that week?". I was REALLY bummed!!! What a missed opportunity that is...we live in MD and only an hour drive to DC.

Hopefully DCL will do something for us that are going to be sorry to miss it - and I have an excursion that day!!!

I may call them and ask them the "plan" - I will post if I find anything out!

Wow, I guess we don't have many Democrats onboard, huh? That's ok, everyone had their own opinion. I am super excited about this election, personally. BUT, Democratic, Republican or anything else.....I hope that EVERYONE is excited about the future of this country and the positivity that has been developing. I think the world is becoming a better place, day by day! This may be an extremly optimistic view, but I like to be positive! The world is changing and we are taking a HUGE step forward in history. YAY, us!!!!!

Back to Cruise news...well we are on a 2 month to go countodown until we leave for Florida. We are flying in on the 16th like most of you. Still trying to get the best deals for a rental car at MCO. We just need it Friday so we can visit my aunt down in Sun City Center (by Tampa). We are staying at the Hyatt at MCO so we will drive down (flying in at 10:30am on Friday) spend the day and drive back. We will be on the shuttle bright and early in the morning on Saturday. We are definitely starting to really be able to count down days instead of months now.

I know! 60 days!!!! We are leaving on the 16th too...happens to also be our 10th anniversary. I can not believe it is so close and we still have to get through Thanksgiving and Christmas. The holidays will make it FLY by. I hope I don't forget to pack! yeah, like thats gonna happen.

I got my pairate costumes at Target at 80% off for only $3 Each!!! Gotta love sales!! Now we need to get to the dollar store for glow sticks and necklaces.

Now I just need to figure out how to lose 20 pounds in 60 days!
