1/17/09 Magic anyone???

Hi Christal!

Thanks so much for your message. For whatever reason, I can't reply to personal messages, so glad this was on the board.

Let's talk and then we can get the girls talking by email. Keighley will be so happy to have someone to hang out with.

I don't have enough credits to send a private message, arggh. My direct email is CMCLaura -at- aol -dot- com.

Best regards,

Laura

So we're about 130 days out (give or take a few) and I was reading a thread on fish extender ettiquette and saw that there have been some groups with 125+ rooms in the FE exchange!!! :scared1: Since all the exchanges we've been part of have been around 12 rooms, I was rather shocked.

So I thought it might be about time to start asking... Is anyone interested in a FE exchange group for the cruise? I'd love to start getting a general number so I can start picking things up!!

Amanda

I'd love to be involved in a FE exchange!! I'm not bringing my kids with me this time, but would still like to participate. One of my friends from work is going with me on this cruise, and she's not bring her kids (or husband!) either! Please let me know what we need to do. Unfortunately I can't organize the whole event as I am overwhelmed at work right now, but would love to exchange gifts!

I'm trying to book a St. Maarten excursion for January 20, 2009. Does anyone know what time the ship will be pulling up to the dock? The gal at the excursion place said I should have received that information already, but if I did, I can't find it. Any assistance would be appreciated! Thanks, as always!

The Disney cruise line web site says that we will be in port at 8am and leave at 7pm.

What is this fish extender thing you are talking about? Can someone explain it to me.

Tim

Fish extenders!!! I was on the WB canal cruise back in 2005 when they were created/ started. EpcotKilterFan (Deb) I believe found them at a Big Lots and cleaned them out for our cruise. The original ones were Mickey's and then she also found a Pooh/ Tigger one. I believe they're found now mostly on ebay. They're pretty nifty for holding stuff even at home.
Man we had a great cruise then......

Hi there all.... So we still have no idea yet if we will be having to change our cruise, but if we do I will let everyone know...

So I saw everyone from NC talking about Hanna... Can I just tell you that I am the crazy one who now lives in So. FL and I went to NC to run a SAT truck during Hanna for CBS News Path!!! I move here and we miss a storm and I end up chasing that storm back to NC where I am from how does that work.... LOL.. I was in Wrightsville Beach and it was pretty rough between 12 AM to 4AM. The SAT truck was a rockin and so was my hotel room on the 3rd floor of the Blockade Runner.... Oh well it could have been a lot worse. My Friends in Raleigh said it wasn't too bad, but they work at WTVD ABC 11and they said it was fun to watch all the reporters I used to work with blow around in the wind....

The hubby and I leave for WDW tomorrow morning! I am sooooo psyched! I can't believe it's finally time! It feels like we have been waiting forever! And luck for us, when come back, we have the cruise t look forward to! I will write a full trip report when we come back, for anyone who is interested. Keep this thread alive while I am gone!!!!!!!!!:hippie:

Have a great time!!!!!! :cool1: Me and my DH leave on the 21st for the Members Cruise and then we will stay at WDW for 4 days.. I am sooooo ready to go. I really know how excited you must be cause I am feeling that way too.....

Well it looks like I am going to have a little more time sitting in MCO when we go home. Jet Blue just pushed my flight back about another hour to 1:30pm. Oh well, what can you do. The price was right at $104 that I will take the inconvenince of one other hour in the terminal. I try to make my way off the boat at the very last possible second anyway.

We usually hit the buffet at Topsiders and hang for a little while in there before getting our luggage. Its good because the luggage has mostly been picked up by everyone else and it isn't a mad rush and hassle finding our luggage in the port terminal.

I'm up for participating in the FE if someone wants to run it! We're a family of 3. What kind of things do people get to put inside of them? And do you do it every day? Just want to make sure I have everything set!

And does anyone know anything about the Dolphin Excursion on St. Maarten. It was in the packet of information that just came recently but I can't find it anywhere else. Does it still exist? Has anyone been on it?

What packet of information. I did not receive any packet. Am I missing out on something here??? Where's my stuff.... I want a packet to.

Wow, I just realized that I need to seriously start thinking about paying my balance. It needs to be paid in less than a month now. Time is certainly flying by and we are getting closer and closer.

The last week in August I received a folder with a book inside of the different shore excursions, what to pack for the ship, what not to pack, etc. Not quite sure why you didn't get it. I used DVC points so the cruise is already paid for. I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

It's probably because you booked through Member Services. We are DVC members also but booked this through a travel agent and paid or will pay cash for the cruise. We are still trying to figure out what excursions we want to do as well. I am sure we will probably chill one day and maybe do a sight seeing tour and the other day hit a beach. I think I am leaning toward the Megans Bay excursion. This beach sounds like it one not to miss.

We got our packets a few weeks ago as well. We did not book through DVC.

I got the packet too. I was soooooo excited :goodvibes :yay: :woohoo: !
But my friend, who is sailing with us, didn't get hers:confused3 . I feel bad because I am the one who has been planning everything for us because she doesn't do much on the computer. I called her the day I got mine and was so excited and she said the same thing "what packet? I didn't get a packet. I want a packet". I called DCL and got NO help. So I emailed them and they said if she doesn't get hers within a few weeks to let them know and they will send one out. It's strange though, because we booked the same time, and we live close by to each other, and neither of us are paid in full yet, so I think it just may have been an oversight on their part.

Oh man...no packet for me. I am going to e-mail my TA and ask her what's up with that. I would love to get anything that will keep the fire burning for the cruise. These last 4 months are going to go slow, I just know it.

Tim

Yipppeeee!! The countdown starts! It's getting closer!! We're almost on our way to our first cruise!

As I was struggling to get out of bed and get my butt to work this morning my DH just said "4 months from now you'll be on the ship." It didn't help me get up but did make me smile! :cool1:

I can't wait! I feel like that Disney commercial "I'm too excited to sleep!" It may be a loooonnnnggg 4 months!!

We just got back from Disney a few days ago. We had an AWESOME time but the best part was that when it ended, instead of going through post-Disney depression, I get to look forward to our cruise!!!! The time is almost here to pay deposits, book Palo, book excursions and get to planning! I could not be more excited!!!!
