You are in my neck of the woods.. If you got yours today, then I should get mine any time now. We are leaving on another trip on Wednesday, tommorrow is about the only day that I will be around and still be able to get them.. It would be nice to get them before we leave...

On my last two cruises I either took a limo or the DCL bus. This time we have a rental car, and we are staying at WDW the night before the cruise. For those of you in the same boat (sorry about the pun there) what time are you leaving for the port? I am hoping to stop at a store on the way to pick up a few essentials if I have the time.

What are you guys doing?

Thanks for the response Mark & Meshee. We will be staying near the airport on Friday night since our flight gets in close to 9:00-pm. We have late dinner seating. Do we need to register for the DIS Meet or is it something we can just stop by ?

DW and I can hardly wait to see the kid's faces when we pull up to the dock, they think we are just visiting family friends in Vero Beach. Since we are going via Limo (FL Tour) they won't be brave enough to ask "hey... where are we going ?" until we are in the parking lot.

I am awaiting our docs ..... :(

Hi everyone!
It's getting so close! Kelli, you asked about ages of kids-I have 2 boys, also 61/2 and 4 (in August). We'd love to exchange some e-mail with the boys-maybe even try for seating together?
Sydne

Welcome WeloveDVC! My DH and I are are DVC members.... I presume by your username you are as well! We own BCV's- how about you???

There is no reservation for the meet as it is, but I am making nametags for everyone. If you would like to come it is for Sunday morning at Sessions from 10-11 am. This is before we arrive in Key West. Please PM me if you would like name tags with the names of the people in your group and I'll be happy to make nametags for your group.

Synde--
My boys would love to get to "know" your boys before we cruise. Maybe we could just post a little about them here and tell the boys because mine are a little young for actual email. My oldest, Griffin just turned eight. He will be staying in the club with his brothers (my choice, not his), he is into Harry Potter, Bionicle, baseball & computers. My 6 1/2 year old, Ryan is my jock. He is into all sports, a huge Red Sox & Patriots fan and loves Disney! My baby (I guess I have to stop saying that!), Jason is 4/12 years old. He loves computers, Harry Potter and can't wait to play parachute games in the club!!

We have early seating. What do you have?? I have heard that if you link your ressies you can get tables near each other but I don't know if that is true!!

Welcome WELOVVEDVC!!!

Welcome to the new people posting! I'm still surfacing from the hectic holidays! Since we are reviewing the kids list, I re-list my guys: Colt is 10-into playstation, soccer, swimming (as in water slides), loves Harry Potter too plus Lord of the Rings. He has a dominant personality and a quick wit. (His teacher is looking forward to his vacation more than he is!)-Dale is 8 and has autism. He likes playstation, all things Mickey Mouse related, and computer games. He is nervous and quiet around strangers, but talks softly when he really needs something. My youngest Mitch is 6-highly sociable, extremely outgoing. Talking is his favorite past time I think, but he likes pretend games and running around constantly. He starts every sentence with, "You know what,......." Reading what I wrote, you can def. see a mother's perspective in those words, but they hold true. My oldest and youngest are very loving and patient with my middle son, but not so with each other! (understatement) I'm very happy they are in different kid areas. Dale will be with his older brother even with the autism-if its up to me-because the older kids have more individualistic activities and less group orientated, which is harder for Dale.

As to the missing docs, I called Allseas yesterday and the nice women I spoke too said they weren't in yet, but she would check on them. She said mine weren't the only ones MIA from our cruise, so she was glad I called. She'd call me back today, but she basically said docs aren't needed at the port and most cruiselines are moving towards an online form filled out. I said that I could understand that, but still was looking forward to the security of having the documents before I left. She said worse comes to worse, they could give me a print out to arrive with. Oh well! :flower:

I'm not sure she was aware I'm on guarentee status. Maybe that's why I'm not even close to getting my docs!

Kelli-thought of another WDW thing I wanted to mention- there are touch stone water spouts in front of Mission Space and Test Track in Epcot. If you're kids like that stuff (and the weather co-ops) dress them in bathing suit bottoms that day and bring changes of pants.

My kids STILL talk about those water spouts and the pics were adorable!

I felt bad for the kids who stood around with their mom's saying not to get wet! They looked so eager to join in!

This time I'm bringing threadbare bath towels I was going to toss anyway. And I'll toss them when the kids are dried.

Just an idea!

Pershing,

Griffin and Ryan will be in the same age grouping as Mitch. I told them his name and interests and they can't wait to meet him!! Griffin is very outgoing and talkative too so they should get along great and Ryan is a little shy (mostly just with adults) but he loves runnign around alot too so they have that in common!!

Thanks for the Epcot reccommendations but we won't be visiting Epcot this time around. We can't do it all and the boys favor Universal to Disney so we are doing 3 days at Universal/Islands of Adventure, 1 day at Sea World and 2 days at Disney (MK, Ak and MGM only).

Still no docs here! I wonder why some of us got them and it seems to be taking forever for the rest!

I e-mailed my TA this morning. She called Disney, and they told my TA that they were mailing the documents to her today.

I got an email from my TA today, our tickets were part of some group purchase as a result, they have not even printed our documents yet. She said that I should expect them by Monday at the latest.

Given the money I saved on the cruise I am ok with waiting a few more days. Perhaps some of the other folks without docs are in the same situation. My TA mentioned that they print up the group tickets separately from those individually purchased.

We used AllSeasons too and we received our documents today. We're arriving the morning of the 14th and spending the day at Universal Studios before heading to Ron Jon's at the Port...Mark

:cool1: :cool1: I'm doing the Doc Dance!! :cool1: :cool1:

(Okay, technically the 1/2 doc dance) Since we are in two staterooms, we received only the docs for one tonight. Hopefully the rest will arrive tomorrow!!

Karebear1 - I will send you a PM with our information. It has been fun reading this thread, It is great to be able to learn so much about a vacation prior to going ... Thanks to everyone.

We got our Docs yesterday. :cool1:

Karebear1 - Forgot to mention, yes we are DVC members. After four trips staying at the Disney hotels we finally bit the bullet and jumped in with both feet. We bought into SSR at the beginning of 2004 prior to shceduling a June 2004 trip. Probably the best purchase we ever made, we vacations planned for the next three years.

Hi everyone! I just found the site since I am at my MIL checking my mail. Sounds like things are really underway for everyone! Can't say I have had much time to even think about the cruise in this frozen piece of land up here in the great white north. The snow mobling has been going ok and all the kids are having a blast! (Sorry Annie you'll have to make sure Scott is off next time we come...) The temps have been ranging anywhere from -5C to
-30C which doesn't seem to be stopping anyone from going out and doing any of the outdoor activities there are. The views are absolutely breath taking on the lake here and I wish I could download a picute or two to show you. Well better sign out for today...I might post later this week but if not I'll be back on at home next week sometime and I am sure totally frazeled with starting the packing all over again.

Pauline :flower1:

Pauline- you're making me COLD!!! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZSYYYYYYYYUS' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/28/28_3_5.gif' border=0></a>

I can hardly wait for those mid 80, sunny and humid days! (Can't believe I'm looking forward to the humidity!)

Isn't the DVC the most wonderful thing David??? We joined in 2003 and I do believe it is one of THE BEST FINANCIAL DECISON we've made in our 25 years of marriage! I just love it.

I just called Disney to see where our documents were and they said they sent them out December 22nd..... We should have gotten them by now. We are to call back for a tracking number if we don't receive them by Friday. I also asked which movies were playing on our cruise. Here they are:
