09' Food and Wine Festival

Have they officially announced the dates for 09? We will be going the final weekend, only time we can fit it in unfortunately but hoping it will still run that first full week of November through that first weekend in November, anyone know for sure?

I know that they did officially release the dates. They were in the festival handbook. I'm at HHI right now, so I don't have access to the Festival handbook, but I think the dates were September 25-November 9. Anyone know for sure? I'm reserved for 10/16-10/22. Although it's pretty busy, the weather was perfect. And I asked several CMs if there was a slower week for the F&W, and every one said that it's always busy, never less so than when I went those dates this year.

We were just there this past Oct. to check out what was so special about F&W (trip really to take 80 yr. mother in law who has never been to EPCOT). Did not do any sampling/tasting  since we had the dlx dining. Saw how things worked at F&W and decided we needed to do it right next time.

So excited :yay: ...just DH and myself to do F&W next Oct. Made it even more special that we were able to get a AKV studio CL. And this time forget the dlx dining. With all the samplings at F&W and what CL offers...we are good to go!!!

Just finished booking BCV from10/17 to 11/1. Now have to wait for the activities to be announced and see what we have to look forward to.:yay:

We're booked at AKL Kidani Village for October 7-13, 2009. This will be the third or fourth (I've lost count!) F&W festival we've attended. We love going to WDW at that time of year, and it doesn't hurt that our kids usually have a 5-day weekend around Columbus Day thanks to parent-teacher conferences. The kids get a half day of school that Wednesday, and I always schedule the earliest conferences I can get with my kids' teachers. I'm sure the teachers always wonder why DH and I never linger over the conferences, fortunately our kids are always doing well, so it's usually a hi, nice to meet you, is there anything we need to work on with (insert child's name here), great, thanks, bye! kind of conference. I just hope the teachers appreciate the fact that we never go over our alloted 15 minutes of conference time :)

I booked BWV for Oct 13-22 but was waitlisted for standard view studio for part of the time, booked preferred view. I called on Nov. 23 for the reservation. Definately need to book BW in advance.

I have done the free seminars at F&W - plan on spending an hour in line to get in.

Yay, I'm so glad to see another DISer is going to be there the same time as me. Last year it seemed as if no one was there at my time (I think there was one person, but unfortunately our paths didn't cross). And yes, getting in line an hour beforehand for the free seminars isn't unreasonable. I got in line for one an hour beforehand, and I was the 12th person in line. For another seminar, I got in line only 1/2 hour in advance and got the very last ticket. Those free seminars are so much fun to do if you don't mind the lines!
