09/29/2005 SEPTEMBER 29th I REFUSE TO GIVE UP!

Kimmielee!!! Happy Early Birthday! 9/29 is also my moms birthday. And I always toast her. This year, I'll just have to have 2 drinks! :rotfl2:

How many days left??? 55???

It cant get here quick enough! (well right after I get our passports! LOL)

I get more excited each day, worse than some little kid.
So far my Daughter and I have not decided to dress as Pirates but Greg can not wait. He wants a pirate costume now too. Aimee just wants to be a Princess and has advised she needs a new Princess dress. I may have to make her one. I can not image what I would wear to look like a pirate? pirate:

One of the discussions said that Nassau was dirty and not that nice for children. Have you heard anything like that? I think we may just get off at the other stop and stay on board at Nassau. I can not do an extensive amount of walking (Asthma).
The DisneyDirect had a sale on Disney Grams. I ordered the Mickey Wizard for Greg's birthday. It came in a Disney Gram box with Disney tissue inside and a Birthday card just to him. The Mickey holds a card embroidered with his nm. I will have to sneak it in and leave it outside the cabin door on his birthday . Then make him answer the door to find it. ::MickeyMo

Greg is in first grade so I made each of the dgkds a Disney Journal notebook. The books are divides with Kingdom dividers with the first is the cruise. In each section there are pages that ask questions- who went, where did you stay, most favorite thing etc- It lets them put their memories of the trip down on paper. Then they can save any items they get on board o other pages-like a scrapbook. We will be on the lookout for souveniers to put in it.

I really enjoy reading all the things everyone writes. Thanks ::MickeyMo

That is a Great Disney picture- The children look like they really love Mickey

As far as getting a better deal for Disney Cruises... it is hard to do. The best deal is booking early and rebooking on board. I plan on rebooking on board then transfering it to a Travel agent that offers rebates and or stateroom credit. I dont need a TA (travel agent) to help me in planning... Im LOVE planning, but I will switch to one for the money! LOL

Laura,

Thank you for the heads up on booking on board! I think I need to apply for a Disney card, like real soon! ;)

We are thinking about booking again for next year as well, while on board...we may try to make this a yearly event with the grand children. But next year it will be only be Sierra, Papa and I, as Hannah will just be 19 months and when Natalie finally decides to annoounce her presence...she will be 13 months.

But the year after next we should have our hands full...lol. :Pinkbounc

What is all the talk about a new Disney ship? Any idea?

Grandma D,

You are a true Martha Stewart with all of your creative ideas! I am still trying to figure out how to make magents for the doors...lol and there you go with more fantastic ideas! :teacher:

I need to buy an autograph book to leave at the Guest Relations Desk for signatures.

The Birthday idea for Greg is SUPERB! He will get a real energy boost from that! And Make His Day!!

I have tried talking Sierra into being a pirate...lol, she says thats for boys and wants to wear a princess outfit as well. So be it...it's all for her anyway. Maybe I can find a princess pirate...lol.

While in Nassau...we are planning to stay on the ship. Sierra was in Nassau last December on our Christmas cruise and was very interested in the horse and buggy ride, but she fell asleep while on it. I think we wore her out on the crusie...lol. This time we will let her just enjoy the ship. But I am sure she will have a blast on the island!

It sounds like we will all be at the pool while in Nassau... :cheer2:
Less than 50 days! :Pinkbounc

Laura,

Will we recieve documents in the mail or is Disney paperless?

Hope everyone is well.
Cindy

PS
Update on Diana...she is being induced on Friday @ 5:00pm. :cloud9:

You will recieve docs in the mail.... about 2 weeks before the cruise. You booked thru a TA right?? SO Disney will send the Docs to them, and they will send them to you.

I figure begining/mid September we should be very happy! Most of the stuff you get, you can download and fill out before hand...

Hi everyone! We have been so busy this past week, I am just now getting the chance to catch up. Anyway, I have to have the medical form completed ( I am a type 1 diabetic). Does anyone know if I have to send DCL this form ahead of time, or if I just bring it along when we board. I have been trying to get in touch with my TA to ask her, but she has been out of the office. Hope all is well! :flower2:

Heather

I have to fill the Medical form out also,- Asthma and allergy stuff- Haven't heard from my TA- Does anyone know if the forms need sent to DCL or just brought along?
I received a princess Belle outfit drom Disney Direct- great tips on all the discounts. We are saving it to surprise Aimee' on board (she feels a little left out since it is Greg's Birthday). And she does not want to be a pirate- just a princess. We have made many signs for our door and use magnets from the craft store to hold them on. They sell strips of magnets that have double face sticky tape on the back to stick to the paper.
It looks like there will only be a few of us on the cruise - Laurabearz ; Oscarmoraz; Princessh; Nighsonger; Wahoowa ;Grandma D and our families. : + ) ::MickeyMo

Hi Laura...

Passports yet? I left you a message on the CC board!

Please send up good wishes and prayers for Diana tomorrow as she is being induced! And we finally are able to Welcome our newest grand daughter, Natalie into the world!

I will be MIA (missing in action) for a few days!

Everyone have an Awesome Weekend!
Be Safe and Enjoy!

Hi Heather and Grandma D

I am not sure about Disney. However, on RC you bring the form with you and present it at check in.

Sorry this post wasn't much help!
We are getting down to the wire! WooHoo!

Thank you for explaining the magnet deal! Sierra will be so stoked! :goodvibes

I am still in need of a Minnie Dress. So if I find anymore codes, I will be sure to post them!

Aimee's spirits will definitely be lifted when she sees her Belle outfit! What time does everyone plan to arrive at the port?
C

We are taking the 10 AM shuttle from the Radisson. I want to spend as long as I can on the ship! I can not wait! :cool1:

We have a 740 am breakfast at Chef Mickey's and will head to the port after that... I think it is about an hours drive. We opted to rent a car and it will stay at PC while we are cruising. That way whenever we get off the ship, our transportation is right there.

I am soooooooooo excited. And the kids have NO CLUE. It is killing me. BUt right now the 6 yo is being a stinker, so keeping the secret is easy!

Last night I bought a formal gown for my girls Carnival Cruise the week after the Disney Cruise... so now I am thinking about doing a formal night on DCL even though there isnt a 'formal' formal night on the 3 day cruises.. I just thought it would make a nice photo... lol

I have NOT started the passport process but I did get my Marriage lic in the mail Tuesday. Since it isnt needed at this point, and the kids passports are only good for 5 year... and the extra cost.... I may just wait until next year to get them and go with birth certs and DL's for this trip.... Still debating... maybe I will get DH's and my passport, and wait for the kids....

I am also dropping the ball on the pirate get ups... I am just not motivated. Plus the kids outfits would have to be tried on.. then that will bring up questions.... yada yada yada.

I am rambling... sorry.

THE BIG QUESTION IS...... Do we all want a quicky mini meet on board?? Nothing big... nothing long... just a quick HEY... I am thinking before Muster (boat drill)..... but let me look into it further.

Also...

What deck is everyone on?? We are midship deck 6.

I think a mini meet would be great! I think it would be perfect to meet right before the drill. We all have to be there anyway!

We are staying on deck 5 room 5513. We wanted to be close to the kids club and Flounders!

I am not sure if we will be dressing up for pirate night. I want to, but Tim, DH never dresses up. And now Timmy (9) informed me he will not be dressing up this year. We are going to wdw after the cruise and are doing Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party. I was hoping we could wear our costumes there. I guess I need to start working on my dh and ds. pirate:
