Ave are there really a species called the native Floridian? I thought everyone was either a tourist or a transplant.

Sorry that Wendy and her bunch wasn't able to make it.

Cathy we are a suit and tie guy for formal and semi formal night. Two reasons to wear a suit, funerals or church. Hey what can I say we were a blue collar worker. Mike

Thought I would pass the information on to all "Chocolate Lovers":

Chocolate is a Vegetable

Chocolate is derived from cocoa beans.
Bean = vegetable.
Sugar is derived from either sugar cane or sugar BEETS.

Both of them are plants, in the vegetable category.
Thus, chocolate is a vegetable.

To go one step further, chocolate candy bars also contain milk,
which is dairy. So candy bars are a health food.

Chocolate-covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.

Remember: "STRESSED" spelled backward is "DESSERTS"


We just have to figure out where the croissants fit into this picture!! Suggestions?? I know there is a nutritionist among us that can justify croissants covered in chocolate!!!!

Mike, Hope your Dad is better soon. By the way I said I was a Florida Resident, not Native. But my kids are both natives.
I don't remember saying I would buy the first round, but what the heck, ice water for everyone!
The Springsteen CD is fantastic! It hasn't been out of the CD player since I got it.
Big Party tonight, but found out they are not giving the award for Team of the Year. There will be other awards, but Team of the Year won't be given until Dec. Having my nails done at lunch time today, first time in 20 years I've had a manicure. Got to get back to work. Later, Ave'

FYI just read the Cruise Report titled...July 6th Western Cruise by WendyM, pretty informative. In case you are interested and thinking of winging it on your own in Cozumel and want a beach.

Really sunny and hot here today ... may take a few hours of leave and go home and jump in our pool .... need to try out a new float that I just got for the cruise.

Mike is at the hospital with his dad, they are moving him to another hospital with a rehab center that seems to be better for him. He had a hip replaced and had some trouble getting over the anesthesia. Well heck, after 75 years on this earth who wouldn't? We are hoping he will be his crusty ole self soon. He is a sweet man.

I am so looking forward to September. Just wanted to catch up.

Oh wait, Chrystina, what kind of machines do you have to digitize on? I have a Janome 10000 and an Brother Disney 2002. Gottem, can't figure the digitizing out yet. To be honest, haven't found anyone who is slow enough to show me. They tell me to do "this and this and bingo! you got that" Well, for me I need "First, plug this into that and do this." "No, not that one, the other one" While I sit and figure it out. I would love to learn how to really do it. Mike was supposed to learn while I did the sewing but... he has failed me. I need to get off my situpon and just not be so afraid of messing something up and do it. Huh? Thanks for that firm talking to. I needed that. Thanks...

Elaine-- Thanks for the update on the dining times. 7:45pm will be better than the 8:30pm, but that 5:15 for the first group could be rushed to get to dinner. Or as the PA dutch would say supper.

Papa---Hope you Dad is doing better.

Jul---Can't help you help with your excursions? Did you get it straightened out about your Key West one? Is the boat there or not?

Chrystina---I loved the chocolate is a vegetable. So at Palo's I will just have multiple chocolate souffle's instead of anything else. I am so hungry for one of those. I'm drooling at the computer thinking about it.

Rae--That is great news about the shuttle. Let's hope that is happens.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers as my dad is doing much better. He was telling my brother and me how bad he felt and couldn't hardly move. About that time two young and very pretty physical theraphists came in and he sprang out of that bed like a 15 year old kid. Just wanted to choke him

Looking forward to the cruise and all of our cruisemates. Weather here was hot and humid. Just have to echo thoughts on central air conditioning!!!!!!!!!!!

Chrystina liked the chocolate is a vegtable thing. Came down the hall from lunch today and as a doctor passed I held up my dairy queen cone and told him it was a health food. He just shook his head and walked on

As I sit here typing it is pouring outside but bright as noon, only one small dark cloud and some thunder, very cool and I am thankful for any rain at this point. Could some of you vets give me some info? If we arrive in Key West at midnight are we allowed to get off the ship to walk around, do we dock or are we tendered in. Also can some of you Florida folk's tell me what the deal is with all the discounts FLA. residents get from Disney or are there other places that do so. I think it is wonderful that your state does this and since I am a time share holder in the state I would like some goodies too. My son wants bar tee shirts which are the better ones besides Jimmy B's? Hope all is well with everyone and the doggies too. Have a great weekend and pray for rain.

I have noon at Key West on Sunday also.

If anyone is interested in horseback riding at Grand Cayman, it's 1 1/2 ride with round trip transportation for $58.00 through Nicki's. I'm in! It's been YEARS since I rode - actually decades!And please remember to NOT laugh too hard at me when I return bowlegged and sore!!
