Hi,
We went to the MK for the evening on Sunday the 24th. This was an evening EMH night so the park was scheduled to be open until Mid. Our plan was to arrive between 5:30pm and 6pm and stay as long as we needed to in order to get our favs done.
The bus over from POR was a standing room only affair. My husband and I lucked out as we boarded at a stop when the bus still had plenty of seats left. The bus did not become standing room and then fill to capiticy until we reached the South Depot stop and then it was like the people just kept on coming.
We got to the park around 5:40pm and headed to Frontierland. We got a FP for Splash and then got in the stand by line for BTM which was only ten minutes. By the time we got off of BTM the stand by for Splash was posted as 20mins but was out of the buildings so we decided to just relax for the 10mins until our FP time came due. We were then able to ride Splash in short order.
At this time the sun and heat of the day caught up with me so we decided to stop for a counter service dinner at Columbia Harbour House.
We were then able to walk into the preshow of the HM and then we strolled over to the PoC and we were able to walk right into a boat. The new verison is pretty cool. It was about 8:15pm at this point and we decided not to hang around for 45mins for Wishes so we made our way to the bus stop. It was crowded but there were two buses that came within five minutes and even though the bus back to POR was also full we were right at the front of the line so we grabbed seats at the back of the bus and just enjoyed the ride back to POR.
Let me know if you have any questions. Even though the buses were packed we were able to ride our top four without any issues. We do not ride Space any more due to our backs hurting after we ride. We must be getting old. Oh well, we are off to the AK this morning.
