Dan, I got my daughters passports back really quick, also. We applied Nov 15 or so, and had them back the 1st week in December. I figured with the holidays it would be middle of January! And it turns out we dont need them in February anyway! But never hurts to have them!

Hey Bruce - long time no see. No, we don't have plans for that one. In fact we are still up in the air as to what we are doing in 2009 but right now the two front runners are fly to Hawaii and do the NCL island tour there or do an Alaskan cruisetour on RCCL. Just waiting to see what our friends are doing school wise. They homeschool now but by then their DD may be going to regular high school.

Are you guys doing the Podcast cruise? I hear they have lots of fun things planned.

I don't know I am debating it I was litening to the podcast today and it does sound neat.

Nancy and I are flying down to WDW Saturday to celebrate Nancy's 50th bd. Then we are going to go in May for 2 weeks our twins are meeting us down there the second week. Then the b2b member cruise. I thinks thats enought planning for awhile. Hope you and Mark are doing fine We will at least see you in September as the song goes!

went to Circuit City today and bought another big screen TV. have someone coming over tonight and taking the old one. perhaps he can fix it. he is a TV guy so I'm sure he'll do something good with it. heck, he could have fixed it for me for just parts, but it doesn't work that way. boo hoo

Got one of the new Sony flat screens. It is already wired and set to go when Satelite digital comes out in 2009. That way I won't need to get a converter and spend more $$'s. Going to upgrade with HD also. Might as well get the whole deal now.

Just wanted to say Hello to everyone as me and my Husband just booked the Members Cruise this afternoon. They said that we got one of the last two rooms left on the ship.... Yeah that is exciting!!! We just got off the Magic on the 19th and we are booked for another cruise January 17th, 2009. So this cruise will bring us up to 6 Disney Cruises....

Thanks so much everyone for the birthday wishes! A cold stormy one here last night, but nice and cozy in the house. DH gave me a new gold chain for my diamond pendant, and DD gave me a trip into Chicago this weekend to see My Fair Lady! I am very excited for that too!

Hope everyone is holding up with the weather, they said last night 40 states had cold and stormy weather going on.

Trust me I understand about Cove Cafe being a smokers hangout. When I talk about sitting there and enjoying the wicker chairs it is usally after my walk around deck 4 which is early in the morning. I've been lucky and haven't encountered smokers there at that time. Later in the day and into the evening it does have a number of smokers hanging around which I tend to avoid (even though I grew up in a household with a smoker).

Inside Cove Cafe is smoke free and there are some wonderful cushy chairs and also some listening stations.

Hmmm - I thought Disney developed non-smoking policies and smoking areas at all parks and resorts in like 2000 or so - does this not include the cruise ship or is this particular area a smoking zone? Can people smoke all around the adult pool?

There are designated smoking areas. I don't remember them off the top of my head, but I only really notice them in the clubs.

Well my hopes of doing Jeopardy were probably short lived. I read that you have to get at least 35 of 50 right. I am not sure I got that many. The hardest part was trying to type the answer quickly. The 15 seconds goes by really quick. I left about 6 or 7 blank because I had no earthly idea.

This is the first time that DW and I have gone on a cruise, so obviously we are oblivious to what all goes on on-board the DVC Member cruise. Is there someplace that we can see a list of the activities and give aways that have happened on previous cruises?

I just hope they are more strict on the ship about the non-smoking areas than they have been in the parks lately. I feel that they have gotten really lack on prohibiting the smoking on non-smoking areas in the parks.
