Back from the dentist.

The bad news - yes the tooth was cracked and actually broke off as he looked it at. So that means a crown. Yikes - $$$$

The good news - he says the nerve looks fine and I won't need a root canal.

So I've got a temporary crown on and will go back after the 1st of the year.

Sorry to hear that!!! I'm glad no root canal!!! At least there was a little bit of good news!!! And I'd bet you are waiting until next year because your insurance is almost used for this year, and they told you if you wait until next year, then the insurance will pay 50%!!! Gotta Love insurance companies!!! They just get away with so much, and try to not to pay as much as they can!! I see it everyday, and feel so bad for most people because their insurance companies deny everything! But, Hopefully all is good, and your not in pain!!!

It finally stopped snowing. We have about 2 feet on the ground and this morning it,s 15 degrees.
As far as posting Kay I posted 2 or three times last week nobody responded.
I guess everybody is Christmas shopping HO HO.

Kay...$100...It was meant to be!!! Thats an awesome story!!! Congrats!

Dan...We charge $1225 for a porcelein/high noble gold crown. It used to be around a grand, then the price of gold sky rocketed in the last year! Not a cheap fix, but I've seen them last for over 20 years!! the longest was one that my dentist put in 25 years ago, the 2nd year she was in practice!!! Hope you can unbury from all the snow!!! We had some, but the rain we've been having has melted alot of it!

Mary I don,t know if you saw my post this morning but in the past five years between Nanc and me we have had 5 crowns me 3 and Nanc 2. Heck of a lot better than false teeth

Hi Dan - so I'm in good company in the crown department. I told someone at work yesterday morning that I saw a crown in my future and it wasn't coming from Imperial margerine. Guess I'm dating myself. Mine is costing $925 and hopefully insurance will take care of most of it.

Kay - what a lucky find of $100. Glad to hear you liked the movie. That is one we're planning to see.

Saw this on the main boards and thought I would ask this group. Did anyone sign up to host a house party for DCL in late January? If not do you know anyone having a party and you are invited? Would love to see how these turn out. Our house is way to small to ever consider it.

I saw that - I was gonna send in my info. and thought better of it for right now. Have so many things to do including working the voting polls in January and going to classes for it starting the first week of January.

It does sound like fun, tho. We'll have to keep an eye out for it and see how it goes for the others

Annette - it was really windy here last night and early this morning. Thankfully it has died down a bit.

As for the house parties. DCL is doing some kind of blitz I guess to get new cruisers. So they hired this company that finds people to do house parties. They sent out e-mails to some Castaway Club members but there was also a website you could sign up at. I think they then picked 1000 families across the country to hold the parties. Each family than has to invite I think it is 25 people to have the party on I believe January 26th. Here'e the link to the house party page so you can see if someone near you is having one. http://www.houseparty.com/disneycruiseline I believe the company sends you some party supplies but not sure what the hosts of the party get out of it.
