Thanks to all of you for your kind words...This morning was a little easier on everyone than the last. Sunday night we told Lauren(Tim's DD) about her Nana, as we knew she wasnt going to make it and she took it very hard. It was like losing a mother to her, she spent more time with Nana than anyone else. She cried herself to sleep. Last night was like normal for her, and this morning the same. I know we are at peace because she is...

But on a lighter note, we have all decided that we need this vacation, and Gram would not want us to not go and enjoy every minute of it! So yes at times we will be a little sad because shes not there with us, but we have the great memories from that last 2 cruises she went on with us...And that will get us through.

Dan...Sorry to hear about your grandson, I hope he makes a fast recovery and can play football soon!

I am seriously considering doing things differently on this cruise than I have on all the others I have been on. Seems I have gotten into a pattern where I always do the same things on the cruises. I might just, after going to Wavebands to try and get Palo ressies, head to deck 9 for junk food, drinks and a dip in the pool! We usually go to the buffet.
And I might even skip dinner one night in the dining room!! WHOA! I have never done that....and maybe skip a show.....

DH and I really want to relax, enjoy our time together, meet new people, laugh, etc......

Do you most you repeat cruisers do the same things each time?????

Well, this is our 2nd cruise so I can't speak about what we have done HOWEVER we are planning to do some things different this time. Last time it was all about the kids. This time we plan to have some alone time at the adult only places. With my sister coming along that will help too cause she's a big kid. We actually missed dinner the 1st night last time cause the kids just didn't want to go. They were still exploring the ship. :rotfl: And so was daddy. We did see all the shows and probably will again this time just to experience it with my nephew. I think it's fine to switch things up.

We used to try to see everything and do everything but all that did was wear us out. We pretty much wing it now.

Tina, I'm happy to hear things are going better. Also glad you have such happy memories of sharing other cruises with her. I think you are right that she would want you to all go and enjoy the vacation. You have all been through a lot of stress and I can't think of a better place to get rid of it than on a Disney cruise!

Tina- glad to hear things are getting better and you are trying to focus on the fun to be had. I will continue to keep your family in my thoughts.

Mary-thanks for sharing all that information. I totally agree. This being my 10th DCL trip, I have seen good DIS groups and crazy/fun DIS groups and DIS groups that met the first day and were never to be seen again. DH and I love to meet people and participate in things that interest us, but we want time for ourselves as well. We are leaving the kids home with grammy this time, so we definitely want some alone time and adult time!;)
But at any point, I will be happy to meet up for a drink by the pool! That is something I cannot resist!:cutie:

Nancy and I thank you all for you thoughts
Brandon's dad just called and said he is doing better but tomorrow will have to have more surgery.
The school has told David our son IE Brandons farther everything will be taken care of by us if he get so much as a bill for a tooth pick let us know. It will be taken care of by the colleges workmens comp.
The football coaches have told him he will have a place on the team know matter what. When he comes back this year he will be helping the coaches until he can play next year wearing a special shoe designed for his problem which the collage will take care of.
We as a family are very impressed with Husson UNIV the way there taken care of Brandon. They think a lot of him. The whole team shas been to see him and at one of the coaches are with him. Its sounds like things will work out for the best.
Joan he was wearing sneakers and was mowing a hill when it happened. Will tell you more about it when we see you next week.
Again THANKS EVERYBODY
danandnan

danandnan- glad to hear the school will be taking care of it, and glad he is doing alright. Still stressful and I am sure disappointing that he can't play this season.

Dan - glad to hear that everything is being taken care of for him. Sounds like a great university. That's great that the coaches and team have been so supportive. I'm sure he'll be a great asset to the coaches until he can play again next year.

Conch Cooler and a Beach Chair in the water at Serenity Bay!:beach:

I am sooo ready. Work is seriously interfering with my ability to keep up on this board today!!!

Good news - Frank got his docs and our box of stuff for our new Owner's Locker arrived at the Boardwalk today. I will be joining Frank (and the box) at the Boardwalk in 8 DAYS 3 HOURS and 17 MINUTES!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

No, I'm not counting - the little countdown clock on my desktop is. Problem is, I've been at meetings and not at my desk, so I can't see it. So I have to sneak a peek at the countdown clock on my iPhone during meetings!

Almost 3/4 of a way to a pirate: .

Wonder who is going to get it this time. :)

Thank you all for the welcome. I am glad to hear some of you got your papers. I just called Disney and found out they sent them via UPS on Sept. 4. I got the tracking number and found out that the papers are out for delivery. I wish we got them sooner so we could be extra careful on filling out the paperwork. My mom and I still have to pack (gulp). Plan on doing some tonight.

For Kamgen. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. My mother was very worried that the cancer would come back. That is why she opted for the mastectomy even though her cancer was not so severe.

When and where are people going to meet before the cruise. I remember hearing last year it was at the Beach Club the day before the cruise.

Mary, At this rate we are definitely going to have a part 3 thread. We are averaging 1 or two pirates a day!!!:surfweb:

I already have the two Motels for the trip down as well as The Grill programed into the favorites on my Garmin GPS. All my DVC/Disney clothes are in the guest room AKA Vacation Staging Area (VSA in NASA speak). We have an appointment to get the car checked out on Monday. Are we getting ready to boogie or what!?!?!?!?:woohoo:
