09/18/11 - DVCers Take Over the Dream (S.S. Member Cruise 2011)

LOL. Mine sounds a little like that: Had such a great time , booked 3 more disney cruises and used up all of my vacation time for 2011, and it's not even November yet.

Uh oh! Do I see an unplanned short term leave of absence in 2011????

hi there how many are in your group. Laura and i are down to just the 2 of us for palos brunch. We can book 105 days out. Debbies group still has 6 . We had 2 tables of 6 on the 2010 cruise. We are going to do it again. We can book and bring 4 others with us if we can get table for 6. They have the brunch the day at sea.

I would LOVE to join you or anyone else that might have room at their table. I did not attempt reservations on my first cruise SSMC09. Primarily since it was my first cruise and I wanted to see everything else they had to offer. But, I am travelling with my 2 children so I was not going to book a reservation for myself.

I guess I am going to have to get over the handholding huh? Seems the place to let them have fun and be free! Well, maybe not the 7 year old no matter how advanced I think she is (of course I do I am her papa after all). The 11 year old won't know what to do with herself!

They will have a great time in the clubs!!! My DD will be 7 and DS will be 12 at the time of the cruise so they will be in the same clubs as your kids.

Lisa, you are more than welcome to join us anytime or all the time during the cruise! Its me, DH and my DBFF Gail along with my DB and DSIL. Of course there is DS but he will be off at Vibe more than he will be with us! So at night especially, you could come and even us out in numbers!! Same if we go to Palo for brunch - just let me know!

Well Good Morning Everyone - Again!

I had to run out to Pennsauken to a place called Restaurant Depot to purchase all of the food for a Beef n' Beer I am cooking for tomorrow night and had to get there early because there are so many other things to do today - plus had to get the roast beef to DH on his way to work so he could get it sliced for me!

I thought I would be gone so long that you all would have gotten to the next and without me - but looks like we have more nighttime people on this thread than morning people!!

I have a little bit before I have to start the rest of my running around - so another cup of coffee it is!

Then I dare say we should go to Palo for breakfast that a.m.! Would be neat to introduce the kids too beforehand

Edit: didn't think of the timing, I will ahve an 8 year old and a 12 year old then! Sigh they grow so fast. On this edit since it will be our FIRST Disney cruise (used to be Royal Carribean ers) and the kids VERY first cruise we might do the fam thing until night times then adult but that might be unfair to the kids (kids clubs) for planning their days for them. I just want to do the water ride (aquaduck) and anything else they have. Did the rock walls on Royal Carribiean and such, I am a sucker for anything fun like that and the kids tend to be right on my heels when we do that stuff here. My youngest telling her friend the other day when we were at a festival with some HUGE slides n such 'you just need to have NO FEAR'. LOVE IT (don't worry folks she is very logical about the no fear thing thank goodness lol)

They will love the clubs! The camp counselors are fantastic and there are also so many of them. Youngest DS has been on several times and all at different ages, and each time loved club and we could barely get him out! They have a wonderful communication system (and assume they will not be changing it) so that you can keep in touch with the club personal and your kids can get messages to you! They can't come or go without permission so they are always safe. And now that DS will be in the teen club, I doubt if we'll see him except for dinner!

How wonderful that you found someone to complete you - all of you! You sound like a happy family!

Although my guys (three boys) were always doing things and pretty independent, they were really never far from my grip. And they were never at babysitting when young - I was lucky enough to stay home with them when they were all little. So even leaving them at the club the first time was a little hard. But harder on me than them because it didn't take long for them to be anxious to get there each day.

I really enjoy coming back to the cabin after a fantastic day and enjoying a nice cup a hot tea and the "All Hands on Deck" which is a fruit and cheese platter.
