Good Morning DIS Friends!!

Just got DS out the door about 20 minutes ago for the school bus and I thought I would check in so I can try to keep up. I figure if I wait until after work I may never catch up at the rate we are posting out here.

DD is still :cloud9:sleeping :cloud9: and since her bus does not come until 8:30 I have a few minutes.

Glad to see Ian has finally arrived on this thread. From what I can tell from all the prior posts, you were pretty famous on the SSMC10. But boy was it an eye opener when I got to your post. It was just too early in the morning to see those big, bright, bold letters jumping out at you. :scared1: I am definitely awake now and I ended up not going to bed until at least 1am. :confused3

As for the linked dining, if you would like me to coordinate this for the group I am happy to do so. Just let me know. For those interested, we can arrange to have all the DISers in the specific seating times on the same dining rotation and if there are specific people you would like to be seated with from within this group we can arrange that also. I will chat with the person that did this for our SSMC09 cruise and get all the details that are required. Once I have those details, I'll have Milford add it to the first page.

Sorry for all those whose football teams did not live up to your expectations yesterday. I'm not ready for football. It's still baseball season for me.

GO PHILLIES!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Lisa :flower3:

I was told that the French restaurant was an additional $75 to dine at, for that kind of money it better include the wine!!

Yes, that is accurate. I just read that on the DCL website last night.

And, I do not think the wine is included in that price. I could be wrong and getting it confused with what I read for Palo. I know for Palo it said that they had not determined a price yet for the dining.

Took some of the details from the DCL site

Dinner
Boasting a French-inspired menu featuring superior seasonal ingredients from around the globe, dining at Remy is a leisurely affair. Beginning with a complimentary chilled Champagne cocktail that is prepared at your table, dinner is comprised of multiple courses. For an extra charge, Remy offers a stellar wine list in addition to a wine pairing option. Elegant touches include a tableside trolley for international cheeses, decanting stations for wines, and an after-dinner coffee service.

Pre-Dinner Service
Once dinner is booked and Guests are on board, they are invited to meet with a sommelier in Remy's wine room to taste and pre-select their wines for the evening. Please note, alcoholic beverages are available at an extra charge.

An additional charge of $75 per person is required to dine at Remy, in addition to the cost of wine and alcoholic beverages.

Good Morning Lisa.

I'm with you - GO PHILLIES

Wow, I can't believe the extra charge for Remy's. Don't think I will be going there. We'll have DS again so I don't want to leave him at dinner. We tried the early dinner this time. I always felt like I had to rush to get to the evening activities - it seemed like we were always the last ones out of the dining room. Of course, I think alot of that problem was our server.

My guys are out already. DH drops DS off at the high school at 7 on his way out to work.

I think I mentioned our cabin numbers before, but we don't seem to be on the list on page one. we are in 7172 and 7174, with early dining.

I will try to get on the facebook page in a little bit.

GOOD MORNING ALL MY DISFRIENDS!!!! It's MONDAY!!! Time to start another hectic week!!!

If you don't mind :woohoo:

I don't mind at all!!!! :goodvibes

Are Christine & Erik going on the member cruise next year? :confused3

No they are not. And I actually found out yesterday that Erik's family doesn't know they are DVC members. Oh I would NOT be able to keep that a secret!!! Anyway, they have prior commitments that week so they won't be there. :sad1:

We were very lucky got in at 0802 and was on hold for 20 minutes and then passed the phone to me and I booked. We were all done with 2 bookings by 0855. We have a magic phone........ LOL :cool1::thumbsup2pirate:

That's how our experience was last year when we called in for the 2010 Member Cruise. NOT SO MUCH THIS YEAR!!! Three hours of nonstop redialing on four phone lines, an hour and a half (at least) on hold, then another half hour to book. There has GOT to be an easier way!:idea::idea:

This will be our 6th year in a row for the member cruise..... our first one of course on the Disney Dream. The real good news is this will be the 20th anniversary of the DVC...... OH BOY it will be quite a celebration. We were on for the 15th year. So I am sure they will do something big for the 20th.pirate:

So, since you're a veteran on the member cruises, did you notice that the gifts were better on the 15 year DVC anniversary cruise than the rest of the cruises?

Terrie wanted me to start dialing @ 7:55AM (I guess to get my thumbs warmed up to redial many, many, many more times on the house and cell phones). I believe I might have dozed off a time or two. :scared1:

I tried that...just got the recording that Member Services wasn't open yet. Then at 8:00 on the dot it was busy nonstop for me until 10:30. I wanted to ask them how many people were actually working the phones that day. But once I got into booking I forgot to ask!

:eek::eek: Well, since we are going to try to do this cruise on the "cheap" end, I don't think we'll be dining there!!!

We are doing late dining again but with the 7:00 show before dinner.

Maybe I should try to get our dining changed - seems like most have the later dining. We have the 9:00 show I think. I was really caught off-guard when the ms rep asked me about a show time - I never had to answer that one before.

I love having late dining! You don't have to rush to get ready for dinner and missing a show from time to time doesn't bother me that much. The only problem for me is that I'm full when the pirate buffet is out. There's my two cents on that.

They didn't ask us about a show time. :confused3 I'll have to call back later in the week after they've had a chance to recover from Saturday. :rotfl:

I don't mind the late seating and I agree, though, that I was always too full to eat anything at the buffet later. But for DH, the shows are the big thing and we really like to go to them - but my DB and DSIL would have rather had late seating. I kinda talked them into the early one this time.

I love Disney and I also love my job! I won't ever say anything bad about my job again. I hated last year when I was laid off. I was sooooo excited this year when I was called back!!!
