I believe most cruises do it. We were on the Disney Wonder for Thanksgiving and the FE were EVERYWHERE!!! We wanted one!! We now know what they are, and can't wait to participate. However, not sure if my gifts will be that elaborate, as I am NOT very talented/skillful in artsy things. ;)

It really does sound like a lot of fun. I must have just not noticed them on our last cruise. It was the 2008 New Years Eve cruise and I think I was more focused on looking at everyone's door decorations. Some of them were really great. I feel the same way that you do about my creative skills. Hmmm, I'll have to see.

On the first cruise or two I never noticed a thing being on the doors. But then I started to see the magnets and decorations, and wondered what in the world these people were doing. Well, I'm now one of those silly people and its fun!

we have done 7 disney cruises 4 member cruises, and until the 2010 dvc cruise i didnt know what those things were hanging off the fish. So i signed us up. We had fun doing it. You dont need to be creative. You can bring something small representing where your from. I brought canadian things mostly to get a laff. I took photos of all the doors. Im doing to start a small photo album with just dcl doors. Disney is only cruiseline to do it. Or at least thats where it started i was told.

We did do the door decorations on one of the cruises we were on, but not the New Years Eve one. After I saw all the great things that people did on there doors for that cruise, I could have kicked myself. It's so much fun putting all of that together.

I'm one of the silly people too....after we get our luggage, that is one of the first things we do....decorate the door and hang FE.

Exactly! I would have thought the yoga would help! And I hate taking any type of drugs just for sleep. It's bad enough I have to take them for the migraines. Have you ever heard about any herbal remedies and if they really work?

Sadly no, and I have tried a few! From the tea's the stuff an accupuncturist suggested (Chinese medicine), etc. I think it is straight out stress (anxiety) added to my normal hyper state. Used to 'self' medicate but those years are long gone.

I am with you on the pills! What if there is a fire and I need to help my family or some other horrible occurance? Also I have tried them in the past (when desperate) and they only let me sleep for about 4 hours at the most.

Like I said before, I'm not the most creative person you could know, but I have a little time to think about this so I'm sure I'll come up with something. It will be fun just trying to decide what to do, anxious and building up to the cruise.

Thank you for your suggestion. That helps start some ideas for me.

Michele...I'm not the most creative person either...we made our gifts which was so much fun. I also bought things from www.orientaltrading.com...I went to disney.com--they have a create page. I printed up some cards and envelopes. Also purchased some salt water taffey that is made here where we live. I am sure you will find something!!!! :thumbsup2

We went to Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner one night and as we were about to go in security said no more entry fireworks are starting, so we had to wait for Wishes to be over. So when we go in we were the last people seated. We went with our friends and had such a good time talking we didnt realize there was no one left in the place. Disney Security had to escort us out bc we were the only please left in the park. When I got to the flag pole I told the guard hold on I'll never be alone in this park again i need to take a pic

Neat story. I bet your glad you got the pic, not sure I would have thought about it.:worship:

OK, so I will post a question to you all. Did any of you apply for the openings for the 2011 Disney Moms Panel??? I did back in September and am anxiously awaiting an email saying I made it to the next round. Not sure if I will get it though, as they are only picking like 10 people. Have any of you ever served on this fabulous panel?? Know anyone who has???

Kelly

Kelly,

I think they had the symposium weekend this last weekend at WDW. I will look for the tweet I got from one of the bloggers I follow in Florida and see if that was the case.

We also did round refrig magnets (using a button maker) that had a background of Atlantic City and the beach (for jersey shore) and if you looked really close, we had a sillouette (sp.) of Mickey in a beach chair! Then we added ssmc09 and my dis name to it! Its still on my frig - and some others I hope!

i think they should have mickey dads also

Actually I was told during this last trip when I met up with one of my blogger friends at MK that Dad's can apply and last years panel had one dad on it. I was going to apply but missed the date. :confused3

Sue....just went to look and I still have the button on my frig....It says Greetings from New Jersey and Mickey is in the beach chair with an umbrella to the right side. :)

We have had so many posts...I forgot who to send an email to regarding signing up for the FE. Who do I contact again??? Anyone know? Or anyone at least know the post # of that particular link/email address??
