09/18/11 - DVCers Take Over the Dream (S.S. Member Cruise 2011) - Thread #8

I had boycotted Disney for a few years, back when Terrie nearly killed me doing Disney commando style...so we're making up for lost time

We did WDW commando style in 2008, when we were there last. My plan this year is to be much more relaxed ... but still have a plan!

Lucky kids!! Our first family DL trip in 2007, we were able to do five days for $1000 (including the cost to have the pups at the Disneyland Kennel Club). The tickets alone were $600 and we only at DL twice and stayed offsite. The rest of the time we ate sandwiches that we brought fixins for and then ate dinners off site.
We had done DL once before in 1999 or 2000. But, my mom came along and paid for that trip as a joint Bday present for Grumpy and herself. The boys were little. Grumpy was in preschool and Stitch was only two years old. They were totally overwhelmed and didn't really have a good time. Legoland was more their thing at the time.

Totally with you there! We still bring sandwiches and munchies too. We buy sourdough bread in DCA, then the turkey leg and corn, then make sandwiches out of them too, good eats! Topped off by a churro of course

Reality sucks when you spend so much time in virtual reality.

I debated about booking the "couple's choice", but I'm not sure I want to spend that much money on it.

It is a tad bit much, but if you like massages, or maybe book one in WDW?

It's our first CC trip, so we'll prolly do much exploring and relaxing.
