I am up WAY too early today! But we want to get on the road by 9:00 to get to Shawn & Milford's at a decent time, and I gotta get some more stuff done around here before we go. Sooooo....it was late to bed last night and early to rise today for me! But, like I said, I'll be SLEEPING in the car on the way there.

Never been to San Diego. I've heard the zoo is a very cool place ... l just want to see what else is there ... Was looking at the city website and went to the planning commission minutes ... it reports that the Chairman opened the meeting but it also states that the chair was absent ... ...

Maybe s/he had to stand because there was no chair?

That's not going to help their budget - closing on a holiday week-end.

Sure it will! Very few employees working means having to pay less. And not having to pay OT will help a LOT!

OMG...my brother is a HOARDER!!!!! I can't say any more about the condition of his house because I don't want to gross any of you out as bad as I'm grossed out after attempting to clean over there. Ok...gotta go take a shower now because I feel like I need to decontaminate myself. I'm serious...it was THAT bad.

I have a friend who is a hoarder. There are little paths throughout the house with crap piled shoulder height or higher. It's horrible. I tried to help her clean it up, but I realized it was futile when I asked her, "You know you have too much stuff to fit in this house, right?" and she replied, "No, there's another 1800 sq ft upstairs too." OMG!! Of course the upstairs was full too, not that I ever got to see it, because she used the stair well as more storage. It was her DH who told me that it was crammed full too. And she has TWO HUGE storage units as well. So sad.

Okay, all y'alls have made me want to clean my house for the holiday weekend.

YIKES!!!!! Ok, my brother isn't THAT bad. But then again, I didn't look in his garage.

Yeah, I gotta clean that too...

Thank God we don't have that here. We did when we lived in Chicago, and our Chow Chow was a GREAT mouser! There was a bookcase that left a gap between the base and the wall, and he would lay at the far side of it and gobble them when they came out of the "tunnel".

A beautiful Saturday morning! We got up, went to our Farm Market and met up with my sister Laura, Jim (Son of a Goofy), her daughter Emily and Charlie (Emmo's boy friend). Did a bit of shopping, talked with some good friends (including our State Assembly Representative). Back home ... got the the screen put in the back door, started laundry, went to the bank ... WHEW! That's a whole day and it's only 12:15 ...

Ok I will tell you about CAR!!!! As Canadian males growing up it was tradition once you were old enough to go out in the street with your friends mostly in the winter but fall and spring as well you learned to yell CAR!!!! Almost every day we would gather in the street, set up 2 hockey nets. Pick teams and have a game of STREET HOCKEY. If a car happened to drive down the street, someone would yell CAR! The goalies would move the nets off to the side of the street, the car would pass, and we would continue playing. I still have the scar over my eye from getting slashed in the face with a stick while playing goal. AHHHHHHH!!!! MEMORIES!!!

Oh I totally remember that in Wayne's World. Game on!
