My dad ask if there were any people with our surname in the phonebook here. Coincidentally the new book had just arrived, so I looked and there was one. I told my dad that I called them, but they didn't know me.

We actually had an entire large suitcase just for our Fish Extenders, Gifts for the exchange, door decorations & our Pirate Outfits.

Yes, we booked our flights in February. We are flying down on Southwest Saturday morning, and after a short layover in Baltimore, we will be arriving in Orlando around 2:45pm.

Last night my computer was getting real glitchy and Windows needed a re-boot, so I just shut her down.

We were very lucky and had GREAT weather over the weekend ... Sunny and around 70* F during the day.

Did I mention we stayed in a castle? Price was a little high, but how often will we get the opportunity to spend the night in a castle! When we pulled in late Friday night the doorman/desk attendant/bell hop greeted and helped us inside. He then asked which one we were. After hearing our name and giving us the 3 options of names who hadn't shown up yet, it was evident they lost our reservation. He looked all over then called Scott who gave us a very nice room at the top of one of the large turrets. He told us we could either stay there the next day or move to "our" room. I elected to change rooms because they were all different.

The next room was at the top of the castle, where we could walk out onto the rooftop for the best view of Edinburgh from the castle. We were looking over the classic "castle teeth" on top of the turrets. It was a smaller room, but still larger than the hotels we stay in. Each room had fireplaces, four poster beds, finished interior walls over the thick stone walls, shutters and curtains for the full length windows. The mattresses were as good as any I have slept on (though the first one tilted off on my side, but since it was a king-size I just moved toward center). Both rooms had a circular glass coffee (tea?) tables containing a wagon wheel at its base and all the cabinates were rustic, solid wood. Modern appliances included flatscreen TVs, hair dryers, irons and boards, and the bathrooms were completely modernized in white tile.

Laran has been talking for a couple of weeks now about going back to our "big home" (in Indy), rather than our "new home" (in Derby). While we were visiting Edinburgh she wanted to go back to the castle instead. I'm sure she will soon forget about our travels, but I have plenty of photos which we can look at over the years to keep it fresh in her mind.

We are going this time with another couple and are leaving the kids home this time (and boy they are not happy)! Is there a FE list already going? We would love to participate in it. Also, for those who have done the member cruise didn't it go to CC twice?

Welcome onboard. Yes, the Member's Cruises make two stops at CC and this one is no different. This is also our second one and are looking so forward to it, we both need a break and this is just the ticket....smjj
