I have a question. You said pools were crowded hot tubs like sardine cans with mostly KIDS. What about in the Adult area. Thats where we will be most of the time.

I did hang out in the Adults Area after a spa treatment. It was virtually dead there....me and one other lady. Hot tubs are the same size as family pools and adult pool, well you have seen pics, it is very tiny with only one section that was deep (31/2 to 4 feet). The other two sections were for standing/sitting/lounging. There was ablolutely no one in the pool at all...which was nice for me. Same as the other ships, kids were walking through there a lot, coming off of or going to the elevators witht their families. Only a few stopped though. WE should be fine in September, although, it will probably be way more crowded since there are more adults on the Members Cruise.

Where is everyone tonight?? I am in for the DisMeet in June. Jim and I will probably just spend a couple nights downtown. We like to do that every once in a while. Depending on what you all like to eat and how much money you want to spend, I can give some great recommendations. I have been to several restaurants in the city, so let me know.

:cheer2: Chicago Dismeet. :cheer2:

When we got together in February, we talked about June 18/19 as a probable date for another meet. We've got some folks who need to start looking at airfare so we need to firm this up pretty quickly. We talked about a Chicago River boat tour or Millennium Park as possibilities. We could also just get some hotel rooms at a central location and hang out or travel from restaurant to restaurant.

Thoughts, conflicts, confirmations, ideas? Please discuss...

FYI, Dan and I are in. :dance3:

We're still in for this DISmeet!!!!

June 18/19 would be great; Terrie & I are in...gotta start looking for airfare if that weekend is set.:banana::banana:

:yay::yay::yay: Woo-hoo!!! We're bringing the Floridians to the midwest!

I have only eaten at the big places: Ed debevics, rainforest cafe, old michael jordans, planet Hollywood, hard rock, genos east, and Billy goat. I would like to eat at a place that's known by the locals. Something an out of towner would probably miss. Any suggestions?

How about here? http://www.chicagopizzaandovengrinder.com/history.htm

Question .... are the sail away parties and the see ya real soon parties the same on the SSMCs as they are on regular sailings?

If I remember correctly, the sail away party is a little different. They have a little celebration where they remove one of the flags off the ship and fly the DVC flag. I haven't attended the See Ya Real Soon party on the SSMC so I can't answer that.

What drink is everyone most looking forward to trying on the cruise?

Um.....I think maybe ALL of the mixed drinks! So, ya may see me stumbling around from time to time. :rotfl2:

Probably some Disney movies is my guess. I could be wrong, though.

I'm not sure about that...maybe we should call DCL and ask. :confused3 :lmao:

:rockband:
A lurkin we will go...
A lurkin we will go...

She always has! Look who she married!:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Oh, the temptation to make wise cracks just might kill me. But, I will resist. Yes, yes, I will ... :flower3:

Ok....I do have to admit...every once in a while I get very frustrated with Junior over one thing or another. If I complain to my mom about him she reminds me that I have a very good husband. He works hard to support our family and he's good to us. He might be a little stubborn, but I am lucky to have him.

Thanks - looks good.

Can't wait to hear what Deb says about this.

I'm sure you weren't expecting what I said, were you? I wanted to try to come up with a sarcastic response but I figure I better be nice...I do have to live with the guy! :rotfl2:

Ok, the commercial on TV just promised to, "drain ya, plug ya, and lube ya" for a low price. Ummmm, can I get the lube first? :scared1:

That does seem backwards. It should definitely be Lube ya, Plug ya and Drain ya and I've never payed a low price for it! :rolleyes1

OMG....I'm so glad I wasn't drinking anything...I probably would have spit it out of my nose. I laughed so hard when I read this!!!!

What like the Plate of Bacon I got with my Frozen Wafles last year on debarcation day! :rotfl:

I wrote a letter to DCL telling them how much we enjoyed our frozen waffles and pancakes that last morning at breakfast. I explained how impressed we were with the high quality frozen items they choose to serve. :rolleyes1

OOPS :confused3

Just saw that it is filled up. :sad2:

:sad1:

We were at DS's DARE graduation. Um....yeah....we just found out about it at 4:00 today. Nice, huh? It's not the school's fault....they called yesterday to tell us about it. DS just didn't give us the message. :headache: Now we'll be up till 10:00 tonight taking care of homework, baths, showers, etc. UGH! Don't they realize they can't hold a TWO HOUR event on a school night for elementary kids?! DUH!!!

I had mentioned the Oven Grinder earlier. (http://www.chicagopizzaandovengrinder.com/history.htm) I ate there probably about 25 years ago with my cousin...I remember it being extremely good and the atmosphere seemed pretty cool there. I especially love the history of it's location!!!
