IM ASSUMING ITS BETTER THAN, BUZZARD IN A BOX(kentucky fried buzzard)

Not only is it better but it's different. They don't sell wings , thighs, breasts, and legs. It's a chicken sandwich joint. It's all boneless chicken breast, nuggets and strips with waffle fries. It's sooo good. This place should be the center piece of your next vacation. Its that good.

Their Spicy Chicken Sandwich and now Spicy Chicken Biscuit is the best as well. They make their Biscuits made from from scratch, not frozen.

That would be so cool growing up in the US with a British accent. Does your daughter still use any British words or phrases ('Cheers' and 'whilst' are all that come to mind right now)? And the phrase Lara hears in business meetings, "**** up", as in "It looks like that project is going **** up." The first couple of times they said it, she looked around the room to see the astonished faces, but there were none (except hers). Apparently a common and accepted phrase here. Do you remember any other words/phrases your FIL used?

Oops, busted: While the word I typed is not as offensive as it appears in '**** up' it is apparently blocked by DISboard. It's really the plural of a 3 letter word, not the past tense of a 4 letter word which sometimes preceeds ' ...... up'

My FIL still has his accent, he is single, and somehow still attracts the ladies. My DH and I think the women believe he has LOTS of money . So when women talk to him, we politely and inconspicuosly motion and when the conversation gets too heavy... The accent and words come out when he's angry. My favorite is "Dad, your zipper is down". His reply, "Hrrumph, dead men don't jump out of windows..." I WAS DYING. Another phrase, "You should be on stage, sweeping it." He has some pub drinking phrases too. I'll ask him. He doesn't know about the ****up phrase, I don't know either.

Well, I have this darn cold again. Been off work for 2 days, but was able to make my ADR's. Captain's Grill, Boma, Akershus, Le Cellier, Marrekesh, Kouzzina. Might have to change one or two. We like a variety and we're such foodies. Hope everyone is doing well too! This cold is just downright ****up!

I almost forgot to brag to you guys!!! My DD-7 brought home all A's & B's on her report card!!!!!! (I cried!!!!!)

I don't remember if I posted on here but she's was in a self contained special needs class for Kindergarten & First grade. She was also in a special needs pre-school. She was diagnosed with ADHD but *I* think she has Asperger's Syndrome (it's on the Autism spectrum). Anyway, I begged with NISEC (the special ed program through our county) to put her in a regular classroom for the last two school years. This year I demanded it and wouldn't you know, she's on the honor roll!!! Goes to show how much those NISEC people know!!!!

He did do a good job. I was a bit worried after watching the practice video. Yikes! Yeah, he could gain a few pounds. Although, I've seen pics with him having a few extra pounds on ... and it wasn't very pretty.

That is toooo funny! I would love to hear any others you learn.

We might substitute the expression "belly up" in the US. I'm kinda surprised he didn't recognize it. Maybe it's a more modern expression, but I figured it gained acceptance a long time ago, and remained in their lingo. I even saw it used on TV here, but that was a movie, not the nightly news.

Boma or Ohana dinner show?

How about those FE's? I was thinking of making my own...Here it gets a little tricky...So far my daughters don't know about the trip......The plan is

1. Tell them we're going to the beach
2. On Sunday, "drive by" the port to "see" the Dream...
3. Surprise them with the boarding passes for the "Dream" with DCL Lanyards...
4. Then meet everyone on the DIS on the Dream!

Boma or Ohana dinner show?

'Ohana isn't really a show, but there is some music and games. I wouldn't go for the music or the games, but I would go for the food and atmosphere (and Lapu Lapus ). Boma was nice too, but it was a bit too exotic for my guys' palates.

Thanks! We've seen many luau's, plan to go to Aulani next year. We have a good friend who is from Hawaii so we get spoiled with his cooking.

Are you thinking about the Spirit of Aloha Show or Ohana? I wouldn't really compare Ohana to a luau at all. The foods at the luaus I've been to are completely different. When we went, there was a lady who sang on and off and a kids coconut race. My mom was feeling really sick at dinner, so I was a bit distracted by that ... and my huge pineapple filled lapu lapu. Good thing the DH was driving that night. It was STRONG!

I'm a big curry fan and Boma had a lot of curry. Also, the Zebra Dome desserts were super yummy. Boma also had some really yummy soups ... I had a couple of bowls full of soup alone. My kids found enough to eat (they tried a lot of different things that they didn't care for), but I was bummed that I spent that much (because they are Disney adults) for them to eat mostly chicken nuggets and dessert.

At Ohana they loved the pot stickers, the skewered meats, and the bread (and even ate a bunch of the salad). I could have eaten the shrimp all night long. YUM!

Interesting, because when I make funny comments, I usually do it with a straight face. I do it so often that when I say something outlandish, but true, my friends laugh. I have to stop them and explain that I was being serious (for once).

Lara's cousin and friend are visiting this week. We spent the weekend in London with them and today they took the eurostar (180 mph) train for a day trip to Paris. Just picked them up at the local train station (right on time). They said they had a hard time getting around Paris, not speaking French. The only people who they could find to give directions were other tourists. But they found the Eifle Tower (sp?) and Louve (sp?) among other things.

Due to the schedule of Cunard, we won't be here much longer, so we need to start hitting the rest of our 'things we want to see here' list. Temperatures are probably close to our average temps back in Indiana, but without the large swings. Yet no where near as warm as what you have.

How are things going back in the good ole' USA?

Things here in Texas are great. This is the time the weather is our friend, lows in the mid 50's with highs in the upper 70's. Not using heat or air conditioner, so no big power bills I know you will be happy to get back. Keep enjoying your time soaking up the local culture and don't forget to wave to Andy upon your return.
