I recall last year's member cruise, someone told me there were less than 200 kids on the ship.

Glad to hear that. Not that we are anti-kids(have 2 and 4 grandkids) but sometimes you just want to lounge around in a quite no kids zone and this is one of those times. We just got back from 6 days in WDW with our kids and grandkids(10 of us). This vacation is now our time...smjj

Good morning all. :grouphug:

Nope Wally. I was falling asleep at the keyboard. I've had a killer cold that has more than taken a toll on my ability to stay awake. I have been far more tired after doing not much at all than I can ever remember. Actually, I'm not sure that it is just a cold.

GOOD MORNING! WE HAVE DONE THE LAST 4 DVC CRUISES AND THEY TOLD US ON AVERAGE THERE ARE UNDER 300 KIDS. THE AVERAGE REGULAR DISNEY CRUISE IS OVER 1000. WE HAVE DONE BOTH. EVEN THOU THERE ARE OVER A 1000 KIDS YOU DONT NOTICE THEM THAT MUCH, MANY ARE ON THE KIDS DECK. DURING SEA DAYS WE HEAD TO THE ADULT AREA AND RELAX BY THE POOL. ON REGULAR CRUISE ADULT POOL ISNT AS BUSY, BUT ON MEMBER CRUISE THERE ARE LESS KIDS SO THE ADULTS ONLY POOL WILL BE BUSIER. ON THE MEMBER CRUISE THE SPECIAL GUESTS WILL BE HANGING OUT BY THE ADULT POOL. THE LAST COUPLE TIMES IVE CHATTED WITH DUCKY WILLIAMS IN THE POOL. HE USUALLY GOES THERE WITH HIS FAMILY. MOST PEOPLE AT THE ADULT POOL GO TO LIE ON DECK CHAIRS AND READ OR RELAX AND HAVE A DRINK or 2. BASICALLY THE POOL IS FOR STANDING IN COOLING OFF AND CONVERSING AT. FOR US ITS LIKE AN OUTDOOR LOUNGE WITH A POOL. A GOOD TIME TO GO TO THE POOL IS DURING SHOW HOURS IF YOu HAVE LATE DINNING. SINCE THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST DREAM CRUISE, WE WILL BE ATTENDING THE SHOWS. WE hAD SEEN THE SHOWS ON THE WONDER A FEW TIMES, SO THAT BECAME OUR POOL TIME.

I WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING ONE OF THOSE SHARK FINS YOU STRAP TO YOUR BACK, I THINK WALLY WANTS TO WEAR IT WHILE SWIMMING WITH TERRIE:rotfl2:

WELL, EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT DAY:cool1: IM OFF TO FIND THE HOUR I LOST LAST NIGHT:rotfl2:

Oh, and congratulations on the pirate: and :bride: Wally! I'm really sorry I couldn't stay up to do it. :guilty:

Good morning everyone!! Losing that hour of sleep sure did stink.:confused3 Hope everyone is doing well and you aren't too tired. Have a great Sunday!!:cool1:

I am joining the official I am tired of winter and I can not wait any longer to go to Disney club. Does anyone else want to join me? Sept is soooo far off. At least I get to do my ADRs this week. Hoping for warmer weather. I so need Disney.

Help me decide- should I take DCL from resort and avoid early crowds at port check in or should I do a Limo and get and early start?

I'd like to join that club too! :thumbsup2

If I was choosing between DCL or a Limo....I'd choose a limo. Only because I just feel so important when I'm in a limo. AND the limo driver may stop for you if you need them to whereas the DCL busses won't/can't make special stops for anyone.

There are a few mentioned- Happy, Tiffany. Prices seem to be around same. Wonder when I would need to book?

I'd book asap just in case they have any increases in prices due to gas prices going up. Not to mention...just one more thing to check off your VACATION TO DO LIST! :thumbsup2

One of the twins had the explosive part as his diaper was being changed. They had to measure the distance. :confused3 The wall stopped it from going any farther than 4 feet! And he is only 3 weeks old!

OH my goodness!! Hope they get that under control soon. That can be so dangerous for the little ones!

Hmmmm, seems like I didn't get a bunch of emails from DisBoards when threads had new posts last night. Wally, have you been pulling some shenanigans?

I have to say, Paul's kitten is completely adorable when he is sleeping. Right now he's draped across my chest and purring in his sleep. The rest of the time he's running like a fool all over the place, clawing my curtains and stalking my dog. What a menace! :cat:

Happy Monday fellow Dis-sers. Hopefully this one hour of less sleep doesn't affect you too much :goodvibes Have a magical day :thumbsup2

Need info? When we leave the Disney dream we are going to disneyworld. Has anybody used the disney trasportation from the port to their resort? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
so do they take your luggage off the ship with you and put it in the same bus or do they take the luggage off and ship first and put in a seperate spot and load it and take up to your resort and it comes to your room later in the day when you arrive at disney.

On a related note, we got a call from London this morning saying that everybody in DS household is in quarantine, do to that same thing your doggie had. One of the twins had the explosive part as his diaper was being changed. They had to measure the distance. :confused3 The wall stopped it from going any farther than 4 feet! And he is only 3 weeks old! :scared1:

How is everyone doing? I hope they are all better!

What do you think about plans

I booked us Tiffany Towncar to take us to the port from VWL w/ a 0900 departure. I also booked them to take us back after trip to MCO w/ a pick- up from port at 1000. Our flight out is at 1510 so I do not want to leave too early from port. Will I be kicked off of the ship w/ a 1000 pick-up?? We
reserved a Towncar. I went w/
Tiffany since I read the most
positive remarks on them. I figure
it will be about $130 than DCL bus
since tipping will be higher. But at least we will get to port earlier. Is 0900 a good time? The RN in me is a little OCD, so I am looking and valuing all opinions. Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
