09/18/11 - DVCers Take Over the Dream (S.S. Member Cruise 2011) - Thread #3

We arrived to the inlaws for dinner to find family with the stomach flu and strep throat. Do these people not realize we are going on vacation the day after tomorrow! Ugh! Now I have to load everyone up on Vitamin C and zinc and pray for the best. Ugh!

Happy Thanksgiving all! Hope everyone had a great day! DS13 and I are headed off to Walmart in a couple of hours in search of jeans for him. The boy has no pants left that he hasn't grown out of or destroyed. And he can't really walk around Disneyland in his pajamas next week.

Tomorrow is a full day of packing and cleaning. So, I'm not sure if I'll be around. If not, hope everyone has a great weekend and week!

OK Karen, everybody gets lined up and sprayed down with lysol. Next march them into the vats of hand sanitizer and finish with a UV light tanning bed to kill any remaining germs. NOTHING will stop you from having a fun-filled trip!

I hope you and the family really enjoy yourselves. Watch out for avalanches and the abominable snowman on your trip through the mountain passes.

Hey Terri!! I hear ya about the Black Friday. My DH is already in bed, sleeping in the guest bedroom. He is getting up at 2am to go to Best Buy to get a Blu Ray Player for like $59 or something. We are also going to by an LCD Flat Screen tomorrow!!! There are some good deals out there, just hate getting up so early. Good luck. I totally understand about wanting to go alone.

Did you get the $59 Blu Ray? and the TV? I woke up this morning, thought it was 7 am but it was only 6. Since I was up I headed off shopping. Got everything I wanted, plus....

We got what we went for at Wal Mart at 12:01 am this morning. Got there at about 10:00, grabbed some items that were going to be on sale, waited for 12:01 and dug into the dvd's and some other stuff. Then headed to the checkout lanes and we were home by 1:00. I couldn't believe how quick we got out of there. Last year I remember waiting in line for at least an hour. Then we came home and did some more shopping online! LOL A lot of the deals they were offering in the stores were also being offered online. So, we grabbed a few more things and finally went to bed at 3:00 am!!!! Slept till 10:00, went and got the kids. Did some stuff around the house then headed back to Wal Mart and grabbed a few items that we missed this morning. Then we went to have Thanksgiving dinner with Junior's side of the family. Now we're home and I think we're going to sit down and watch "It's A Wonderful Life". Just trying to decide if I want to watch it in black and white or color.

Who knew? At least we now have a strategy for next year.. Grab a bolt get a number and get the rest of the bolts while we are waiting
The main issue was there was a group there buying MASSIVE quanitites of fleece for a charity project.. They took forever at the tables! On the plus side I was able to get some great ideas for FE projects!

Got two Blu Rays and a NOOK!! Ever heard of a NOOK?? We are getting the TV tomorrow. Glad to hear you went out and had a successful Black Friday!! I will be doing a lot of shopping tomorrow....
