Is anybody from the (much) greater Chicago area (to include northern Indiana and Wisconsin) planning on going to the Doorway To Dreams thing on Sunday? We are definitely going to be there.

Sadly we're not. :sad1: My nephew's b-day party is Sunday and since my mom is working all day, and my brother doesn't have a drivers license or a car, *I* get to be the one who takes them to the hall for the b-day party and then back home afterwards. I also have to go get goodie bags for the kids and I have absolutely NO idea how many are coming. Oh yeah, and let's not forget that I have to go get the pizza's for the party. And I have ABSOLUTELY NO time tomorrow (to do goodie bags) because I'll be running from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm. Then when Shawn & Milford get here I'm going to forget about all the stress that comes from my weekend and I'm going to enjoy the ADULT ONLY evening....NO KIDS!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong...I love my kids and they are my world, but I know you can all understand where I'm coming from when I say "WOO HOO" following the words "NO KIDS". :lmao:

Why, yes I can! That is one of the small joys we all get from time to time, and treasure greatly! :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone. :surfweb: Sorry we deserted you last night Kelly, I turned in around 11:30.

Howdy everyone! Sorry Kelly, the thread was quiet and I was right next to my computer on the couch with the dogs, which is where I woke up at 5:00 this morning... :lmao:

How is everybody today? I was looking at some of the magnets that people have posted and now I am obsessed with learning how to create "stunning graphics" on my computer so I may try my hand at it. Wish me luck, I need to figure out if I have decent software on my computer to do that or not... Of course, I also need to search for the Walt Disney font (or whatever it is called) and graphics and other cool fonts and ... I think you get the idea. Obsessed is a good word for my current state of mind ;)

I should be on and off a bit today so I will probably just stay logged in and pop in and out. Right now though :surfweb: I need to refill the coffee mug.

Hi Dan we plan on going to D2D Sunday around noon. This will be the first time we get an ornament :dance3: Anyone else?

We will be there. Taking my daughter, grandson and grandaughter. Probably do early with a Rainforest lunch:). I will be able to make the Merry Mixer since it will be held 12/10.

Hi there! :wave2: Well, I have heard about the gang activity in LA, but it's been years (try 20+!!!) since I've been to Six Flags. Here's a link on youtube with the roller coaster rides at Six Flags:

Knott's Berry Farm does have really good chicken dinners, we used to go there just for the chicken! Here's the link on youtube for Knotts' coasters':

But If I had to choose, I'd stick with Knotts then, less traffic, good chicken dinners, and it's close to the Mouse! ;)

And for Universal, go early so you miss the traffic, and you can see more!
(I heard the Simpson's ride was fun, we missed it, didn't have time.:sad2:)

Good Luck! :goodvibes

Jennifer (cough, sniffle, etc...:upsidedow) I can't wait to feel 100% better!

Thanks for the links! I always forget to check YouTube for these things! We were watching Travel Channel some time ago and they were featuring the chicken dinner at Knotts. It had me drooling! I think we'll do an early dinner there and try to beat the crowd. I love Plaza Inns chicken dinner too. So, I guess I'll have a chance to compare them. This time next Saturday I'll be in CA on my way to Disneyland!:banana::banana:

Understand? Heck, after reading your post I'm trying to figure out how to ditch my own two for an evening. :rotfl:

No, we weren't able to make it today or tomorrow. :sad1: I hope we can make it in sometime before Christmas so we can get the ornament.

We had fun! Glad you guys came up to NW Indiana. Maybe next time you're up we can make a whole day out of it on a day they have a DVC event at Doorway to Dreams. :thumbsup2 (And then it would be a bigger DIS meet with some of the people from Illinois!) :goodvibes
