get the coffee-rubbed kansas city strip steak! We had 9 people eating there one night, and those who didn't get that were envious of those who did. It was the best! It might have just been the night, but it was one of the top 3 steaks i have ever had in my life. And i like steak a whole bunch!

ohh, thanks so much! Will do! I love suggestions...almost more than i love coffee!!!

OK, WELL BEARS GAME IS OVER. TIME TO GO TO BED. HAVE A GREAT NIGHT EVERYONE AND AN EVEN BETTER TOMORROW!!

I think Junior & I both would say Le Cellier. I'm hoping to be able to eat there again someday when we're not so rushed. We had to hurry up and eat because we wanted to get the the TOTWL to watch the fireworks.

Well fellow dvc members, I just gave Mickey a birthday present. I bought into the DVC club at Contemporary resort tonight. So Mickey should be happy. I know we are. After watching the Web cast we could not resist anymore. So I bought DVC on Mickeys Birthday. And I did forget it was his birthday till I read everyones post just now. Everyone have a great weekend.

CONGRATS!!!!

Thanks, Disney is the best family of friends to have. I think the hardest part was deciding how many points to buy to start off.

I think our all time favorite is V&A. Our current favorite, that does not cost the better part of a mortgage payment, is Sanaa. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Welcome Home! :welcome:

I would cancel the Sea World and Knotts Berry Farm, save your money there and take the boys to "Six Flags Magic Mountain".

Really? All I keep hearing about Magic Mountain is how bad the gang activity is there. If we do end up doing Universal, I can buy and print tickets from home and then we'll just have to deal with the fingerprint thingy, I guess? :confused3 Hope you are feeling better soon!

Hi there! :wave2: Well, I have heard about the gang activity in LA, but it's been years (try 20+!!!) since I've been to Six Flags. Here's a link on youtube with the roller coaster rides at Six Flags:

Knott's Berry Farm does have really good chicken dinners, we used to go there just for the chicken! Here's the link on youtube for Knotts' coasters':

But If I had to choose, I'd stick with Knotts then, less traffic, good chicken dinners, and it's close to the Mouse! ;)

And for Universal, go early so you miss the traffic, and you can see more!
(I heard the Simpson's ride was fun, we missed it, didn't have time.:sad2:)

Good Luck! :goodvibes

Jennifer (cough, sniffle, etc...:upsidedow) I can't wait to feel 100% better!

Happy Friday night everybody......

Someone asked about favorite restaurant, for us, California Grill, Jiko, Artist Point, Le Cellier Yachtsman. But there are several others we like.

Osprey course is a real beauty. I have played it many times. Alot of water so make sure you hit the ball straight. You are better off giving up distance on some holes and hit a club that you are confident with and place the ball on the fairway instead of swimming with the gators. Yes in the past I have seen a few gators in the water. Some advice, if you hit the ball in the water be a little careful going to look at it along the water line. I have been told by the maintenance people that they control the size of the gators and when they get to a certain size they are caught and brought elsewhere in Fla. Also, every time I have played, I have seen some beautiful deer, I haven't played there since they first started clearing the land where the Pines course used to be and I hope the construction hasn't scared them away. Hopefully your parents enjoy the course because it is one of my favorites.

Chuck

A belated thank you for the notes. My folks loved it and were able to start and end the round on the same ball! They do have the advantage of living on a course with a gator infested water hazard in their backyard :)

Is anybody from the (much) greater Chicago area (to include northern Indiana and Wisconsin) planning on going to the Doorway To Dreams thing on Sunday? We are definitely going to be there.
