By the way, how will I know when I have earned my ears? I mean, do I earn them one at a time or do they start as small ears and grow? I imagine it would be kinda scary if they suddenly just popped out, especially if I was right in the middle of eating soup or something.

Well, to throw an even bigger curve into the story, I was walking from my car to go play ICE hockey. The parking lot for the rink is along the waterfront and people fish off the pier there. As I am walking I hear a guy screaming and turn to see him and his buddy pulling the one fishing rod along the edge of the pier and to the parking lot. The guy had caught a small sand shark (I think that was the type) and was starting to beat on it with the other fishing rod. I asked what he was doing and he said the hook it had was really expensive and he was gonna kill the shark to get it back. I am an animal lover and quite honestly reacted without ANY thought at all. I was still a smoker at the time so I grabbed the line and burnt it with my cigarette. I then picked up the shark in like a hug and dumped it back into the water over the edge of the pier. Of course the guy was mad but I heard nothing he said because I was just standing there thinking about what a really stupid thing I had just done.

YOU HUGGED A SHARK?????!!!!! Ok that is just utterly and completely insane, nuts, crazy, mad, bonkers, cuckoo, deranged, preposterous, demented, absurd and well, you get my point

He hugged the shark and sent him back home to his mommy and daddy.
Someday that all grown up shark might save Andy's life, to return his act of kindness.
That single incident could have changed your whole outlook on sharks.
Maybe you should re-evaluate your negative view of sharks?

Hmmm, ya know, had mommy or daddy shark been around when Andy's shark was born they would have eaten their baby shark. Yes, I am sure that one day Andy's shark might return his act of kindness by depriving him of a limb. I don't have a negative view of sharks. Quite the contrary my view is positive I am positively terrified of them. I am absolutely positive that if given the chance, one would kill me.
