My Sis in Dyer, IN is throwing Marty and I belated 50th birthday parties next weekend. The theme will be Disney. The kids or adults have to wear Disney themed clothing or costumes. My Sis can get a little wild. I am a little scared to see how this turns out.

I wish I had a sister like that!!! :thumbsup2

Here are some random thoughts about the cruise:

1. Disney does it right by having separate areas for kids and adults (yeah Vibe!).

2. I am a big proponent of size appropriate clothing such as no Speedo's for old overweight men or two piece bikinis for morbidly obese woman and just for clarity’s sake, I am no Adonis myself hence baggy shorts. Oh and two piece bikinis on prepubescent girls is double creepy.

3. Cabana's food rocks, the other included restaurants not so much and Remys? Awesome. Fun fact, in my world the use of the word “awesome” in this context also means expensive!

4. There is plenty to do on a cruise, so much that I went to bed every night tired and while what you put into it is important, meeting new friends is even better. Disney cruise + friends + alcohol – grumpy kids = fun.

5. Lion King in 3D was cool but with the Kermit the Frog stuff why not the new Muppet movie too?

6. Fish nibbling my toes at Castaway Cay was nice, seeing the Steve Irwin murdering manta rays not so much.

7. Besides an ice sculpture I don't remember seeing any decorations that indicated it was a DVC cruise. It was a nice ice sculpture though...

And a couple of not so cruise related:

1. TSA searching bags while in line to board the plane is stupid and wasteful. Really? If I have bad stuff in my bag at that point then the security screening area completely failed to do its job. Bonus search points to the nice TSA lady who unzipped my backpack, glanced inside and moved on.

2. I am stunned by the number of adults who dress up for the Not So Scary Halloween party, at least equal to children. I liked the middle age moms with kids dressed up as princesses and I especially enjoyed the mom with the rubber/latex little Bo Peep costume with frilly underwear, but the Steam Punk quintet was my favorite. (Extra thanks to my wife who pointed out the cute Asian young ladies dressed up as Snow White and Alice!)

Welcome Mort...it's nice to have actually met you in person before you get welcomed here - a bit backwards, yet it works.
I loved you observations! To which I agree although I did not see the murdering ray and I am not sure I would want to see the latex Bo Peep, I would liked to have seen the Asian Snow White!
Welcome!!

Ahhh, Castaway Cay...Where's my Konk Kooler?!

Hey look it's Wisconsin's finest:cheer2::cheer2:

They are doing their own version of Book ends,
Laura and Jim at one end, Nancy and Dan at the other, book ending Sue and Michael.

They do know how to have a good time:rotfl2:

I have not even begun to look at pics yet! I need to get moving on that:thumbsup2 Jim and I will be at WDW over New Years's.. We are up for a meet.. Let us know..it would be fun!! :cool1:

Hi Laura! We also just got our photo cd from the Wild Africa Trek tour. There are some uber cool shots in there so I need to get those printed out. I am determined to actually make a scrapbook of our trip this time.

My B-day is on New year's Day and I love being at WDW for NYE. We check in on December 30th and then leave on the 2nd. Looking forward to seeing you guys again!

Now wait a darn minute! Sue and I are NOT from Wisconsin! That is not to say that MNL&J are not Wisconsin's finest, though...

I REALLY miss you guys. Let's get together for pizza pot pie sometime soon... Real soon!! Anybody up for sometime in October, before the holidays are too soon upon us? We are last minute, flexible, folks. If anybody decides to go on an adventure on the spur of the moment, let us know. Chances are we can meet up.

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Sounds good!! Right now the only weekend that doesn't work for us is October 14, 15, 16. Junior has a wedding to go to on the 14th, we're having Brandon's b-day party (at the house) on the 15th and I'll need the 16th to recover from that! LOL

Amazingly enough, Andy went directly to Nike and had them custom make two pairs of shoes for him!!!! How COOL is THAT?!

That is Waaaay cool!! :cool1:I would never think of making shoes?!!! But now that I see them, it opens up a whole world of possibilities!! :lmao::lmao:

I think I'm finally all unpacked. Still sorting through things but hopefully by tomorrow I'll have it all organized. Hope everyone has a good week-end!

We have a commitment ceremony on Saturday the 22nd at 6pm. Other than that, we will make sure that we are available. Name your poison...:banana::banana:
