Piña Coladas are my fave unless you're making Konk Koolers. I'm down for trying whatever else your make.:thumbsup2 Hope that helps! I might have some stuff left over from the cruise to help pitch in too.

Ok that's one vote on Pina Coladas and/or Konk Koolers :thumbsup2

Terri, you know what? I did pm that person last night about staying after at the btl but never thought about the cruise room. I am in stateroom 7570 and my friends are in 7566. there is a room between us. wonder who that will be?LOL
Terri, I don't know about that shopping bag idea. I would feel funny getting something and not partisapating in the FE. Let me think about this some more!LOL

Let us know what you decide. Either way, I wrote down the numbers :goodvibes

NICE PHOTO OF YOUR DOOR. I HAVE ONE JUST LIKE THAT IN MY FE DOORS PHOTO ALBUM. I SEE A SPECIAL NOTE WRITTEN ON YOUR MAGNETIC MESSAGE BOARD:rotfl2:

One of the reasons I  this picture is your thoughtful note. Rest assured I will have another "special" magnet for your door this year ... BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Waiting for my wife to get ready. This is my last day off until we head off to start this awesomesauce vacation on Saturday. We are going shopping to find me some pants for the cruise.
I guess wearing pants is a good idea, man does not live by thongs alone:rotfl2:

(Unless you are Junior):lmao::lmao:

Pants are good :thumbsup2 Thongs, not so much

Thanks for the input! How about this:

2011 SSMC DISmeet, September 18th, 687? Lounge, Disney Dream

2:00 - 2:45 Cocktail Hour and Social Gathering (pick up Name Tag, Agenda, & Mini-Navigator when you arrive)

2:45 Group Photos with personal cameras

3:00 - 3:30
Run through times & locations for DIS-only events (Coffee club, Wine club, Parrot Head gathering, Pirate photos, Cabin tour, & Sports club)
B2Bers describe where to meet for the Sail Away Party, immediately following Muster Drill (point out people on B2B who scoped out a spot for us).
Remind people to gather (where?) to have a DIS cell in the DVC photo.
Dan and/or Junior describe TOTWL fireworks viewing & Dan & Sue's Vacation Ending Bash at Bay Lake Towers.
Run through Thank You's for those who volunteered for various jobs here.
Prize Awards:
Wally & Terrie present Princess/Pirate/Book End Awards
Wally & Terrie present Trivia Questions Award
The Potters take the stage for final thoughts
Adjourn to Cabins for Muster Drill and immediately up to Sail Away Party!

We can make sure that everyone I want to thank is near 'center stage' and ready for the Thank You's

Works for me!

Terrie, Where is the Facebook group meeting ... and how will you split your time? :teleport:

Uh, I dunno :confused3 Ok, just popped over there to see what they're posting. Yes, I know I created the FB Group for our cruise and other than adding people on, I don't really go there or post too often cuz I'm always over here with my DISpeeps :rolleyes1 Anyhoo, they are planning on meeting up at D Lounge on the 18th at 3pm. It's close to where we will be so for those active on both they can easily pop back and forth. I, on the other hand plan to be with alls y'alls at 687.

If you make it, I'll try it! I'm not big on tequila though. I don't care for the taste of it.

I know what you mean. I hate the taste of tequila too :lmao: I make 'em so you can't taste the alcohol. You can feel it but not taste it  So far Junior voted for Pina Coladas or Konk Koolers at the Dan & Sue end of cruise bash at BLT since that is what he likes. What do you like? Majority will rule on what I defintely make and the rest will be a surprise :cool2:

:scared1::scared1::scared1: 2 hours! John, you've got to come tour with me. I don't wait in line for anything for more than 20 minutes. I made a few exceptions to my rule when Kyle and I did Disneyland on the first day, because we got there so late. And a few exceptions with my mom, because we just weren't moving fast with the ECV and a crowded park. But, we haven't waited for anything that long yet, except at Universal when the Harry Potter ride and one of the coasters had break downs while we already in line.

Sitting on my porch at OKW, enjoying the breeze and the sound of the fountain. Ahhhhh! :cloud9:

Yea, that's their busiest season, and most expensive. Usually at Disney they stop letting people into the parks around noon on Dec 31st, unless you're staying onsite. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but that's when kids are out of school and there are more holidays = less vacation used.

Hey, by the way, could you note what time sunset is? Vicki is trying to decide whether to reserve inside/outside for us at Fishlips before the cruise. Thanks

Dan/Sue,

It doesn't look like anyone here wants to grab any of the last 4 seats available for the EPCOT Illuminations fireworks viewing from the pontoon boat.

To refresh everyone's memory Sue & Dan have reserved a pontoon boat for us to fill up. There are 4 seats remaining out of 10. The cost is $35 per person (plus a tip for the captain), assuming the boat is full. We meet at Beach Club marina at 8 PM the night we get off the ship. We will enter into EPCOT waters for the fireworks show, but will not need admission to the park.

Anyway, I'm wondering if we should ask the folks over on the other thread now? I'm not too excited about paying $120 for us, verses $70 for a full boat. Lara seems to think we can find someone, even if it's people we meet on the cruise, but I'm getting a little nervous.

Whoops, may have spoken too soon:

Sorry about that Sandy. I remember Dan posted something not long ago, but maybe it was before you joined us? That's perfect if you've got 4 people. Let us know as soon as you can whether you're in or not, so we know where we stand. Which one did you do before, EPCOT or Magic Kingdom? If I'm picturing where the two boats will sit to view the show, I really think EPCOT will be much better.
It was epcot and we left from the same location resort. They took us in the backway and the boats sat right under the bridge. the torch was to our left and boy was that hot! Good view. I assume it will be the same. after all them years the show has changed.

Terrie, I would vote for Margaritas (or wine, or beer, or ... heck as long as it has alcohol, I guess I don't care) :thumbsup2

You know, now that you described it, I remember seeing a pontoon boat stage itself there. Now I know why. Thanks

I like my drinks fruity. I like Pina Coladas and suspect that I'll like Konk Kookers as well. I love me some Malibu Rum and juice (preferably mango) and pomegranate martinis are super yummy. I'm not a picky drinker as long as beer and wine aren't involved.

Yeah, I prefer off season. I'm not big on crowds. I find them rude and frustrating.

Sunset is supposed to be at about 7:30ish. :thumbsup2

WHERE ARE YOU STAYING, WHAT BUILDING. WE ALMOST ALWAYS STAY THERE. LAST FEB when WE WERE THERE WE COMPLAINED ABOUT THOSE STUPID CORDS. I FELT LIKE PULLING THE STUPID THINGS RIGHT OFF THE DOOR. THERE ARE A COUPLE FLAWS IN THE DESIGN OF A COUPLE THINGS THERE. SPECIALLY THE 2 BEDROOM UNITS THAT HAVE ONLY 1 ENTRY INTO LAUNDRY ROOM. LAST YEAR WE TOOK MY SONS 7 YEAR OLD STEP DAUGHTER. SHE WENT IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM RAN OUT SLAMMED THE DOOR. WELL THE FURNACE DOOR WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE LOCK POPPED OPEN WHICH MADE IT SO YOU COULDNT OPEN THE LAUNDRYROOM DOOR. IT HAD BEEN RAINING AND ALL OUR CLOTHES WERE SOAKED SO WE PUT THEM IN THE DRYER. WELL GUESS WHERE THEY WERE:rotfl2: THE DOOR OPENS IN. YOU COULDNT GET YOUR FINGERS INTO THE ROOM TO MOVE THE FURNACE DOOR. I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE MAINTENANCE CAME 2 HOURS LATER. ANYWAY WE ARE THERE NEXT WEEK.

That sounds good to me, but I'm waiting to hear back from Caitlyn & Cody as to whether he can get the arm patches (when we talked last Sunday he only knew of their volunteer department having back patches).

I'll let y'all know when I hear something.

Thanks John! :)

Oh, two more fun things from today. On our last trip, Grumpy bowed down to Darth Vader at the end of the Back Lot Tour. Today I found out that he's now a rebel spy. How the times have changed ...

We had a lovely magical moment after our last ride on Star Tours. We were pulled aside off the walkway and given a funnel cake with ice cream and strawberries and chocolate sauce along with four spoons. FUN! :wizard:

I thought the Magical Moments thing had gone away at the end of the second Year of a Million Dreams, but I guess not!

Love those Magical Moments memories, they make a vacation so special:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks Karen

Vicki, guess that makes the decision harder. Maybe reserve inside for now, then if the weather report looks good, see if they can change it to outside? Forgot the outside choices now ... Tiki room, or bar? Does one of them look out to the port?

Others who will dine with us: Really you should be voting, because I'm not sure we'll even make it.
I believe the invitation is open to any one of us who will be staying in the port area before the cruise?

The final shopping is done for the cruise:yay:

Found two pairs of pants and a very cruise worthy shirt, so according to my wife I will be very presentable:rotfl2:
They were sold out of thongs, said there was a large order from a guy in Indiana:confused3, so I will be wearing pants this trip.
Nine days until we depart:thumbsup2

Maybe if you go to the julioogle you could find some nice man thongs there.:lmao:

Me too! We seem to have the same taste in drinks! If it's frou frou, I will probably like it :thumbsup2

For those who want to play a hand of Poker along the way, the entry fee is $2 per hand and will have 100% payout, to be collected at the first room with cards. I will give several rooms a deck of cards to draw from. There will be no “draw” at the end, so novice players have just as good a chance of winning as anyone, and we can help them determine their best hand. The winner will take 2/3 of the pot and second place 1/3. If there is an odd dollar left over, it will go to the worst hand. Hosts will fill in your cards below:
_____ of _____ by ________ (ex. __9__ of ____ by __JDD__)
_____ of _____ by ________
_____ of _____ by ________
_____ of _____ by ________
_____ of _____ by ________
_____ of _____ by ________
_____ of _____ by ________

This is what I have put together so far. It requires walking the entire length of the ship and back, once. No more than one floor of stairs/elevator at a time, unless we add/remove rooms. I have a lead on a Handicap Accessible room in the bow. I hope that comes through, it should be a very interesting and unique layout.

 Hmmm, I'm gonna have to study on this. I only got a "C" in calculus! :confused3
