I'm glad it's slow on here today. I finally got some more work to do and I can't check as often. I'm so jealous of all you who are leaving this weekend for a 2 week trip.

JUNIOR, IF YOU CAN REMEMBER:rotfl2:CAN YOU REFRESH MY MEMORY ON WHICH DAY IS DEBBIES BIRTHDAY. IT MAY NOT BE WHILE WE ARE ON THE CRUISE BUT THATS OK:rotfl2:

Hi dis friends:wave2: Whew what a week so far. Looking so forward to some R & R.
A few pages back there was talk about trading fire dept. patches with John and Andy. If you guys are still doing that Mark and my son Mark Jr have patches they would like to trade. Would that be ok? :woohoo:

That sounds good to me, but I'm waiting to hear back from Caitlyn & Cody as to whether he can get the arm patches (when we talked last Sunday he only knew of their volunteer department having back patches).

I'll let y'all know when I hear something.

For those who want to play a hand of Poker along the way, the entry fee is $2 per hand and will have 100% payout, to be collected at the first room with cards. I will give several rooms a deck of cards to draw from. There will be no “draw” at the end, so novice players have just as good a chance of winning as anyone, and we can help them determine their best hand. The winner will take 2/3 of the pot and second place 1/3. If there is an odd dollar left over, it will go to the worst hand. Hosts will fill in your cards below:
_____ of _____ by ________ (ex. __9__ of ____ by __JDD__)
_____ of _____ by ________
_____ of _____ by ________
_____ of _____ by ________
_____ of _____ by ________
_____ of _____ by ________
_____ of _____ by ________

This is what I have put together so far. It requires walking the entire length of the ship and back, once. No more than one floor of stairs/elevator at a time, unless we add/remove rooms. I have a lead on a Handicap Accessible room in the bow. I hope that comes through, it should be a very interesting and unique layout.

I just spoke to Kelly @ Fishlips. I can make a reservation for 12 or more. She told me there are 4 areas to choose from:

1. Downstairs inside with ac
2. Upstairs sports bar
3. Upstairs Tiki bar
4. Upstairs covered patio

Has anyone been there to tell me which I should reserve?
Those who are staying at the Country Inn or any other place please join us too!:yay: Either drop me a pm or let me know here so I can reserve it.

Thanks-Vicki

Not sure if I will make it, but my vote would be for air conditioning ... Wait, I wonder what time the sun will be setting down there? If it's close to sunset the temperature might be more tolerable (unless theres a ... nevermind ... erasing that possiblility from my mind).

Hi Sandy
We'll be neighbors, I'm just down the hallway a bit, room 7116.
If you need sugar, please don't hesitate to knock.

That should be a safe enough distance from Junior!

Dan/Sue,

It doesn't look like anyone here wants to grab any of the last 4 seats available for the EPCOT Illuminations fireworks viewing from the pontoon boat.

To refresh everyone's memory Sue & Dan have reserved a pontoon boat for us to fill up. There are 4 seats remaining out of 10. The cost is $35 per person (plus a tip for the captain), assuming the boat is full. We meet at Beach Club marina at 8 PM the night we get off the ship. We will enter into EPCOT waters for the fireworks show, but will not need admission to the park.

Anyway, I'm wondering if we should ask the folks over on the other thread now? I'm not too excited about paying $120 for us, verses $70 for a full boat. Lara seems to think we can find someone, even if it's people we meet on the cruise, but I'm getting a little nervous.

Whoops, may have spoken too soon:
I may be interested in this. let me see if I can work this out. we are eating at Cape may cafe at 5:05pm. we have a party of 4 adults. It is my girlfriends birthday on the 26th and I was trying to figure something out special to do. Years ago we did this with disney friends I met on this disney board and did it for my daughter 16th birthday. It was nice. and guess what? she is now 28 so that was alot of years ago. So let me see if I can work this out. Thanks for posting this.

Sorry about that Sandy. I remember Dan posted something not long ago, but maybe it was before you joined us? That's perfect if you've got 4 people. Let us know as soon as you can whether you're in or not, so we know where we stand. Which one did you do before, EPCOT or Magic Kingdom? If I'm picturing where the two boats will sit to view the show, I really think EPCOT will be much better.

Ok DISpeeps who are signed up for this, need to know what the preferences are that will require my bartending skills since I don't want to bring stuff that won't be consumed :upsidedow Choices that are easy will be Italain Margaritas (or regular if you prefer), Pina Coladas.

Last week I managed to concoct what I consider to be the perfect Red Velvet Cake Martini. I toyed with 6 recipes and discovered the perfect combo IMNSHO. There's a LOT of alcohol in it, you don't taste the alcohol. But it will sneak up on you like a ninja and it can and will knock you on your @$$ if you're not careful :lmao:

So let me know your preferences so I know what to bring, suggestions are welcome, especially if most are interested in the same one.

If you make it, I'll try it! I'm not big on tequila though. I don't care for the taste of it.

Another beautiful day here at OKW! Today we did DHS. Three rides on Star Tours and they were all completely different! Nice! ST2 was almost a walk on. 5 minute wait time listed. Had a nice lunch at Mama Melrose. The calamari was really really good!

Two things I was concerned about with our OKW room before we got here, the Roman Shades and the AC. I've heard the shades are a pain to open and the AC isn't very cold. Well, someone removed the shade cords from the plastic clip thingy. I had all three shades up in 30 seconds. And this AC is ice cold! In fact, I'm about to go find a blanket because I'm getting chilled. LOL

Tonight we are doing the Fireworks Dessert Party, but the guys don't know it yet!

Oh, two more fun things from today. On our last trip, Grumpy bowed down to Darth Vader at the end of the Back Lot Tour. Today I found out that he's now a rebel spy. How the times have changed ...

We had a lovely magical moment after our last ride on Star Tours. We were pulled aside off the walkway and given a funnel cake with ice cream and strawberries and chocolate sauce along with four spoons. FUN! :wizard:

I thought the Magical Moments thing had gone away at the end of the second Year of a Million Dreams, but I guess not!

Man, I've gotta quit going to Orlando around Christmas and New Years. 5 minute lines sound soooo good! I'm used to 2 hour lines ... and you can't do very many of those in a whole day.

Glad OKW is working out well for you. We like to stay there when we have several people in our room, because they are larger.

Enjoy the Fireworks Dessert Party ... your secret is safe with us. I've never heard about it though ... fill me in when you have time.

Yes, that's a great idea Wally!

To fill y'all in. Wally just PM'd me. He's gonna turn the whole P/P game upside down. Now it won't be who has the most of each, rather who has the best bang for the buck, like a batting average. Simply take your total wins and divide by your total number of posts. The person with the best percent success rate is declared the winner!

Great idea Wally ... I'm back in the game!

:scared1::scared1::scared1: 2 hours! John, you've got to come tour with me. I don't wait in line for anything for more than 20 minutes. I made a few exceptions to my rule when Kyle and I did Disneyland on the first day, because we got there so late. And a few exceptions with my mom, because we just weren't moving fast with the ECV and a crowded park. But, we haven't waited for anything that long yet, except at Universal when the Harry Potter ride and one of the coasters had break downs while we already in line.

Sitting on my porch at OKW, enjoying the breeze and the sound of the fountain. Ahhhhh! :cloud9:
