Hey Andy. Do you watch Rescue Me? Is it somewhat a good representation of a firehouse? It's always been one of my favorite shows. Just wondering.

A lot of what you see is very close to factual. That is one of the better shows in representing the life of firefighters (except most of us are not totally crazy and talk to dead people)

Dennis Leary is a huge supporter of FDNY. He strives to make everything as factual as he can. He does quite a lot of charitable work to support Firefighter causes.

Terri - how's this for supporting Home Depot?

In 1999 we bought a bi-level that had been bank owned so it needed lots of TLC. We went to Home Depot to pick out EVERYTHING for the house. We basically gutted the house and re-built it. We spent over 8 hours at Home Depot and I don't even remember how much $$$ we spent. But we saw employees come in for their shift and clock out to go home and we were still there.

Oh yeah, I was about six months pregnant at the time, so you can imagine how tired I was after being on that concrete floor for over 8 hours picking out everything for the house! Home Depot was our home away from home for a couple of years. Our next door neighbor was the assistant manager there, so even if we wanted to shop somewhere else, we really couldn't.
