HI its been a long time since you post from last year on this thread. Are you interested in doing the FE?

Unforntunatly we have to travel A vey long way from the uk so we are very restricted on what we can bring so we tend not to join as its not fair to other dis boarders when we cant be as generous with gifts:cool1:

Hey pappy, ever hear of Double Diamond beer? I drank quite a few my time in England. It seems like it fell off the face of the earth.:rotfl2: Do you know if they still brew it?

No longer available, it was a mass market light ale, popular at the time but died out when larger became popular ,
Now the mass market largers are less popular and local ales are making a return, (thank goodness)

My personal favorite is are brews by the golden dragon brewery in skipton, they have a web site:cool1:

Hi, Today as a gold member I was able to book activities for the cruise. I checked in on line uneventfully, and confirmed my port arrival time of 11:00 a.m., but wasn't able to book activiites. The itinerary posted was incorrect because it showed Nassau when it is really Castaway Cay - Sea Day - Castaway Cay. Finally gave up and called DCL, and after speaking to several different people, was able to book Palo Brunch for the second Castaway Cay Day and a cabana massage for the first Castaway Cay Day. It was my first time as gold and I was excited to be able to book ahead so I am glad it worked out.

105 days until we board the DREAM. I agree online check in went smooth and also tried to book extras but was not working. Will call tomorrow if still can't book.

I will be eligible to book activities of the 18th. If the online booking is working what time will I be able to start booking?

I think it was a good thing the site wasnt set up right. I also called DCL not DVC to book PALO. I was able to get Palo brunch for 10am on the day at sea which is TUES. From past experience booking on member cruise things fill up by the time PLATINUM book. They are usually many Platinum on board. We enjoy Palo brunch a lot. I booked a table for 6. I got 2 different answers about booking time. Somebody from DVC told me 8am. So I waited until 8am. When i called DCL they told me MIDNIGHT. So i would try 1201am on day you can book.

That is correct, there are two stops at Castaway Cay and one sea day, no Nassau on the itinerary. That's fine with me because I've been to Nassau several times and would rather just enjoy the two beach days. You can start booking at midnight on the day you are eligible to book. I woke up at 3 a.m., did the check in, but couldn't book the activities. Member services opens at 9 on Sunday, so I called back after they opened and got the brunch and massage reservations. From looking at the site, they have the correct itinerary posted now so maybe you can book the activities online.

Thanks for the info Ian and genmasjoy. I'll be online at 12:01 or on the phone first thing in the morning. On our first cruise everything was booked and neither Palo or the spa was available. I'm hoping this cruise I get a chance to pre-book. I however did get to experience both Palo and the spa but had to book on the ship. I see you both booked Palo brunch. Is it a better experience than the evening meal? :confused3

I wouldn't say the brunch in Palo is better than the dinner, it's just what we enjoy doing. At brunch, you can look out and enjoy the ocean views. The entrees are ordered but the appetizers and desserts are buffet, so there's more variety. We enjoy dinner in the dining room and the rotation dining.

FYI booking opens at 12am EST, I live in Colorado so I was able to book at 10pm.

Does anyone know if they will do the Castaway Cay 5K on our cruise, will it be done on both days that were there?

We like the brunch because of the selection. They give you a tour of your food:rotfl2: Its daylight and can see out at sea. It doesnt interfear with any of the Dining rotations. Norm if you find it full when you try keep randomly trying , thats what I did last year.

Thanks for the info. I think you convinced me to try the brunch if available. :thumbsup2
